There was no escape yesterday for Peter Lawwell as Celtic drew 1-1 at home to Kilmarnock.

At the start of December the club Chairman was on holiday in Portugal when the protests started during the closing stages of a 2-0 home defeat from Hearts- the first domestic defeat at home since the dark days of the Lockdown when Lawwell as CEO was standing beside Neil Lennon against reality.

Yesterday he was in the Directors Box as he watched the outcome of his long running feud with Brendan Rodgers coupled with the incompetence of his son impact on the team.

Kilmarnock did what St Johnstone, Motherwell and Hearts achieved earlier in the season. Frustrate Celtic in attack, not too difficult when they insist on two wide players that certainly aren’t wingers, then play on the nerves and panic from the supporters that has spread to players clearly inferior to last season.

It looked like Celtic could repeat last month’s win over Ross County, yesterday luck was out when David Watson headed in a stoppage time equaliser.

During Lockdown Lawwell and his cronies in the boardroom were insulated away from the pesky, entitled customers. Reassured by their yes men and media messengers pumping out stats about how successful he had been as CEO.

Pre 2012 Celtic had a 50% record of winning the SPL title under Lawwell, they hadn’t been near a treble.

Since 2020/21 it looks like the 50% record has been resumed thanks to Ange Postecoglou.

Celtic’s dominance started in 2016 with the arrival of Rodgers, it ended in 2023 with the departure of Postecoglou.

Next month it will be 20 years since Celtic won a knock-out tie in Europe, a record covering three competitions and starting a few months after the appointment of a former Clydeport bean counter on a salary of £166,000.

Peter Lawwell is behaving more God-like than ever. He’s going to sacrifice his only begotten son.

It’s been evident for a while that our wingers can’t get to the byline, they turn back or I Palmas case he looks like he’s making a highlight reel for himself, he’s not a team player. The best striker in Scotland has been devoid of service for months. It took Tony Ralston to actually pass the ball to him yesterday instead of constantly passing it back and side ways. Our defense is woeful, save me the plaudits for scales, he can’t pick a pass. Kyogo makes runs constantly and all him and Welch can do is pass to each other. Bernebei is a waster, should be punted out of the club ASAP and our midfield is weak, slow and devoid of ideas. Our manager knows he’s been short changed by a board full of greed. They have let this happen while giving themselves bonuses and their families jobs. It’s criminal and every one of them should be held accountable for the mess. A board that sees its fans as mugs to be fleeced at every opportunity, yet they have never Ince stood up to the media, SFA or UEFA for the fans. They couldn’t care less, they are detached from the fans and it shows. They should be hounded out of the club!!

The only way we’ll get rid of this board is starve them of money,ST sales , merchandise etc but this will never happen because of the fans faithful through and through, and this greedy board knows this, that’s why they’ll be there forever,so chants ,banners, placards or tifos won’t change anything, boycotts change things,it’s not just liewell and to blame , desmond doesn’t give a toss about Celtic either, liewell penny pinching doesn’t help Rodgers who in turn didn’t help himself.

He went back to Celtic under the same regime he left under the first time, why come back when it’s the same lot in charge, did they tell him pish he wanted to hear and he swallowed it,more fool him,why didn’t he take this lack of backing from liewell to his big mate desmond,I’ll tell you £3 million helps to ease the pain, and finally I think he’s lost the dressing room, that and his outdated side to side to backwards passing non penetrative tactics, how can a treble winning team be so pish 6 months later, ask the manager and they coaches we persevere with.

Kennedy and Strachan,we can’t score from corners or set pieces but by f@#k we can concede from them, Celtic players should easily be able to beat a team like Killie if they are coached properly, what is the wage disparity between Celtic and the rest of spfl aside from sevco, who funnily enough we’ve beat twice but this is no good when we drop points elsewhere.

      Desmond(s) out!
      Rodgers out!
      Liewell(s) out!
      Strachan(s) out!
      Top-to-bottom…

      Oh and I’m out!
      Sorry mum??????

Just wait until The Game v Dundee a week on Wednesday…

Yesterday there wasn’t time to say much with the shock (but not surprise) at the Kilmarnock equaliser –

But against Dundee the Jungle Drums might reach a very hot crescendo…

I’m just glad that in ma old age that I’ll be a million miles away from it all nowadays !
