Brazilian media silent on Bernabei’s loan move from Celtic

Today is transfer deadline day in Brazil but other than Scottish outlets covering it there is no mention of Alexandro Bernabei joining Sports Club International of Brazil on loan.

On Wednesday afternoon multiple Scottish websites reported on a tweet from Cesar Luis Merlo that a deal was in place, strangely his tweet was based on ‘sources from Scotland’.

As we know all too well in this country every scrap of information on Twitter in the final 48 hours of a transfer window is worked to death. Nothing is too ridiculous to pick up and report on- just in case.

A deal could well be on the cards, Merlo is a very respectable source, he has almost 350,000 Twitter followers with his bio revealing ‘Journalist specialized in the foreign exchange market’.

SC International are big hitters in Brazil, on Twitter they have 1.9m followers, almost double the number that Celtic have but there is nothing overnight on Google about the arrival of Bernabei.

The Brazilian transfer window closes today, if no deal is done the next option for Celtic and Bernabei would be to find a club in the MLS to take him on loan.

And who does that leave us at left back, lightweight taylor and what happens when he goes injured again?. Insanity.

We are currently in a position of looking at 12 games left to secure another double.
Yet in a 50 game season, we are over three quarters into a season that’s been a total mess from the beginning until we are now as a team imo?
So now we are looking at Abada, bernie and Yuki to be moving on now?
As football is very much a squad game today, that would bring us up to 8 now and could add in Hart and OH also, that have been changed from last season treble winning squad already and potentially growing?
So presume Rodgers inherited a squad that lacked squad depth within it, to his liking.
Which is fair enough as we seen how performances dropped off at the back end of last season when injuries impacted ourselves hugely?
But the best part of the work had been done beforehand luckily, so didn’t really affect us?
This season we are looking at a complete turnaround, and without having a settled team in place all season to date?
Even the established players from last season have dropped off massively on there performance levels, and the replacements have hardly fitted in well to date either?
For a manager who likes to boast about how he likes working with the younger players and improving them, well that’s nothing but bullshit as far as I’m concerned?
We currently look like nothing as a potential CL team, and haven’t a clue any longer in what direction this team is heading either?
The whole transfer policy hasn’t worked and Rodgers is hardly getting the best out of this group of players either, and certainly would question his own decision making involved in the whole process also?
So ralston looks like been given the job of covering both full back positions now, while the current form of AJ and Taylor has hardly been great to date this season either imo?
A very important area where our link up play between full backs and wide men has been generally appalling on more occasions than not, and only 12 games left to see massive improvements with limited options available to ourselves in this area of the team still?
Ridiculous situation to find ourselves still in at this stage of the season, and massive failure upon Rodgers and his management imo?
Would go as far as to say Rodgers has 12 games left to save his job, and even at that we still can’t deny that since he returned to the club, everything within it has taken a massive slide on the downward turn, and thinking a massive clear out is still required come the end of the season, no matter how these 12 games play out imo?
The club remains in a massive mess currently and all of those responsible have to be moved on from board to players and those in-between to get our club back on track imo?
