After losing his 100% domestic record at Ibrox Philippe Clement has hit out at Scottish referees.
It is becoming a recurring theme for the former Monaco boss who blamed a hamstring injury for Todd Cantwell on a lack of protection from officials.
During the defeat from Motherwell Ross McCausland pulled out of a 50-50 challenge with Dan Casey then tried to follow through on the Motherwell defender.
No free kick was given but it was the last action that the winger saw as he hobbled off to be replaced by Fabio Silva.
Casey later scored the winning goal from an unmarked back-post header with James Tavernier up the park looking for a winning goal.
? “We have now already several players kicked off the pitch this season. I think they need to be protected in a better way.”
Philippe Clement’s calling for better protection of his players after Ross McCausland was injured in their defeat to Motherwell?https://t.co/oPrXyqCgR1

He had too much intensity in that tackle and caught him. We got a few red cards this season already with less intensity but it wasn’t even a foul or yellow card. That is very disappointing. It is also disappointing to have to make changes in the first half. For him and for the team.
These kind tackles are just too dangerous for the game and you lose good players. It’s also a task for referees to protect the game and players because this is too dangerous
Ross we will need to see tomorrow. It’s serious because he had to come off. He could not walk anymore. So there is really, really hard contact. He doesn’t come off in the first half for nothing. So it is really clear it was a serious foul.
Clement does include John Lundstram in virtually every match, as a bonus for the Ibrox boss yesterday Kemar Roofe replaced Cyriel Dessers after Motherwell’s second goal and came through 23 minutes unscathed.
He’s losing it, he knows their bottle has completely crashed, first blip and he’s playing the victim card ??

So he wants his team to be “fighters” but also wants opposition teams to not tackle his “fighters”, ok then pic.twitter.com/jTRgOstzkB

His own fault he left his leg in to hurt the opponent and ended up hurting himself. Toblerone head deserves all he got hope it’s nothing simple.

Been here a few months and big lurch wants to run Scottish football did he comment about their token dodgy penalty no that type of cheating is ok.
“…We have now already several players kicked off the pitch this season…”
Clement is really pushing it there.
An SPL manager might think that – but he can’t say that to the media, without
repercussions.
[Well, if the SFA had a backbone Clement would be invited along to Hampden
for a wee chat.]
Hope Benfica hump them on Thursday night,
then Clement would be pulling his hair out in rage, 🙂
and probably venting at the ‘hopeless, foreign’ match officials as well?!
I see auld pishy pants Keevins is at it again today with all things negative about Celtic again.
Apparently Rodgers won’t be the Celtic manager next season even if he wins or loses the league.
We didn’t even play yesterday and he still made his article today in the daily sevco about us.
Sevco played yesterday got skelped at home and not one word about them, when is this auld fart going to call it a day.
Imagine being related to that auld fanny,Imagine that was your father-in -law.
