After being substituted against Dundee and missing training Callum McGregor is absent from the Celtic side to face Hearts today.

Cameron Carter-Vickers takes on the captaincy as McGregor misses out after starting the first 28 SPFL matches of the season.

Other than Paulo Bernardo replacing the club captain it is the same side that started against Dundee, scoring six times before the half-time break.

There are a few changes on the Celtic bench with Gus Lagerbielke involved for the first time since January 2 with Odin Thiago Holm back in favour alongside Daniel Kelly who scored on his SPFL debut.

After an impressive run Hearts have wobbled in recent matches, losing 5-0 at Ibrox last Saturday then drawing 1-1 at home to Hibs in midweek.

Don Robertson will referee today’s match with John Beaton on VAR duties.

CELTIC: Hart; Johnston, Carter-Vickers, Scales, Taylor; Iwata, O’Riley, Bernardo; Yang, Idah, Maeda

SUBS: Bain, Lagerbielke, Palma, Kyogo, Kuhn, Holm, Kelly, Ralston, Welsh

Full time…and its maybe unfair to criticise 10 men…but I thought that on the ball we were pretty poor…and this playing out from the back is a nightmare at times.
There’s no doubt that Yang’s dismissal completely threw the balance of our play…but how BR can stand and watch Daizen for 90 minutes is beyond me…As far as I’m concerned…he is useless and a waste of a jersey.
To recap…Missing a penalty is unacceptable…Yang’s red card was a joke…and spoiled the game…Their penalty was also a joke…but at the end of the day ….it is what it is.
    Onwards and hopefully upwards Celtic.
