It was David Dickinson and Andrew Dallas to the rescue for Philippe Clement at Rugby Park on Wednesday night.

Trailing 1-0 to Kilmarnock there was a moment for Mohammed Diomande as he realised that he was slightly short with his backpass to Jack Butland.

Almost as soon as he had hit the ball the on loan midfielder knew that he had put his side in trouble, as a Kilmarnock forward raced past him Diomande pulled briefly on his opponent, enough to gain a second for Butland who cleared the ball to safety.

It was obvious that the Kilmarnock player had been checked, that a potential goalscoring opportunity had been denied that a red card was the consequence but well aware of the stakes involved for their favourite club Dickinson on the pitch looked the other way while Dallas on VAR refused to get involved.

Goals from James Tavernier and Tom Lawrence early in the second half turned the game around, whether they could have done that with 10 men is debatable.

Alan Muir will referee tomorrow’s match at home to Motherwell with Euan Anderson on VAR, in 10 SPFL matches since the Ibrox statement about Willie Collum the Lanarkshire official hasn’t been appointed as a referee, Fourth Official or VAR.

This year alone Muir has refereed the Scottish Cup tie at Dumbarton and the SPFL match at home to Ross County, the Motherwell match will be his third involving Clement’s side in 42 days. Collum will be in charge of Airdrie United v Queens Park.

And it’s only going to get a lot worse before season end.

Somebody should give Nicholson a nudge – to wake him up?

    🙁

    • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

Not that I’d know but is that ‘nudge’ thing something to do with The Orange Lodge…

He could well be in it like a few of them on that board, however I’ve no concrete evidence of this –

      That guy Wilson could be…

He’s been a Labour politician and MP in his time – Which places him as a Butchers Apron Lover –

And he’s on a bloody CELTIC Board !

  • FSTB says:

Q .Why is that not a red card ?
    A. Because its a sevco 2012 player , that’s why
    If you know yer history

    • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

I’m just glad that I don’t pay even one red cent through the turnstiles any more towards this open cheating farce FSTB !

  • John Copeland says:

Do you think after witnessing that corrupt decision that the title is already a foregone conclusion as far as the governing bodies and match officials are concerned ? With the Rangers already at that point of the match losing 0-1 ,getting a player sent off would have seriously ended the pre title party early ,as that would have definitely thrown a fly into the ointment as far as winning the title is concerned . Nothing from McInnes you’ll notice about the decision ….he was probably on the mobile to see if he was working for TNT sports next week at Ibrox for the Europa league fixtures .Happy days .

    • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

It certainly wasn’t ‘Rangers’ who were at the point of losing the match 0-1 John…

As ‘Rangers’ died in (c.2012) –

However SEVCO certainly were in danger of losing the match 0-1…

Even if as you say in your otherwise excellent point that they were never in danger of losing due to the ‘honest’ rules enforced by Dickinson and his VAR cohort !

      • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

(Oops) – Just spied that you slipped in ‘the’ Rangers John…

Top man then – Your ahead of the game !

But it’ll always be Sevco for me !!!!

  • Terence Nova says:

Congrats Joe for highlighting this…But tell me this…Does Mr.McInnes not have any comment to make…??…Or about the second penalty shout..??…Which was totally ignored by Sportscene…btw..It sickens me that these people remain silent while Sevco carry on regardless.

    • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

If he did (and he possibly would have) it certainly won’t be reported by The Scottish BBC or any of the mainstream Scottish Football Media for sure…

For to find anything one would need to probably buy The Kilmarnock Herald / Post / Courier / Express / Examiner or whatever their local daily / weekly paper is –

No chance of it being in the mainstream…

Maybe a Celtic supporter or even a Kilmarnock fan would’ve flagged it up on Clyde Superscoreboard last night but I didn’t wanna listen in as no doubt it’d have been a Sevco love in after their vital (albeit aided and abetted by Cheats with whistles, flags and monitors) win at Rugby Park !
