Nick de Marco’s Celtic message after his Hampden appeal

Nick de Marco seems satisfied by his brief visit to Scotland to represent Brendan Rodgers in his appeal against a Notice of Complaint from the SFA.

The Celtic boss had accused John Beaton of incompetence in a number of media interviews given after Celtic lost 2-0 to Hearts at the start of the month.

Soon after 2pm today The Sun published the outcome of today’s hearing, a two match touchline ban for Rodgers but crucially one of those matches is suspended dependent on Rodgers’ good behaviour between now and the end of the season.

With one club statement Celtic appear to have closed the case, the club is clearly disappointed but no explanation has been given over the decisions taken by John Beaton and Don Robertson at Tynecastle.

Refereeing issues appear to be beyond explanation despite intensive media coverage with 50,000 Celtic Season Ticket holders committing £600 and more for domestic matches.

Normally Rodgers would host a media conference tomorrow to discuss the match at Livingston, after being suspended from doing his job in the dug-out he might opt out of tomorrow’s media duties.

They (The Cheats with whistles, flags and monitors) might troll him v Livingston on Sunday to try to get a reaction to get him out of The Glasgow Derby…

I think he’ll be too clever for them (The Scummy Scottish Football Media) though…

Will he be after the off the scale cheating coming down the pipe at Liebrox though !

Why Celtic have accepted a one match ban is absolutely shocking! Are the sfa saying that the ridiculous penalty claim is ok? looks like it and i cannot understand why Celtic appear to agree.

Brendan Rodgers and Celtic won nothing at this show hearing.

The precedent had already been set by the two previous penalties handed to Caldwell and Neilson. We got exactly the same. It was a predetermined outcome.
The eloquent and rational arguments put forward by a KC, effectively made no difference.

The beaks at Hampden conceded absolutely no ground whatsoever. That’s the outcome we were always going to get.

So it’s business as usual at Hampden. The red card was not recinded, the ref still gets to officiate us again, and VAR cheatin’ Beaton, carries on regardless. The status quo has been maintained.

Apologies for the presumptive texting. Never noticed some of the word changes in the post

Spineless, gutless, totally compromised board makes Grubby closed doors deal with the bowling club committee currently running Scottish football for the benefit of one club…. Brendan should walk away. They don’t have his back. The fans should seriously consider their position re season tickets….you are paying into a rigged game. Celtic are fully complicit in the rigging as their attitude towards the governing bodies has shown. They will continue to pay for VAR despite it being used as a tool to further cause us injustice. Scottish football is rotten to it’s core and deserves no one’s money.
