Brendan Rodgers makes two changes to the Celtic side that started against Livingston in the Scottish Cup for today’s match against St Johnstone.

The familiar figures of Cameron Carter-Vickers and Kyogo Furuhashi are back in the side with Liam Scales out injured and Adam Idah dropping to the bench.

A win this afternoon will edge the hoops back to the top of the SPFL Premiership with very little margin for error with nine matches left to be played.

It wasn’t until the 86th minute that Celtic looked sage against Livingston, with Daizen Maeda bagging a hat-trick and Nicolas Kuhn impressing there is some confidence going into today’s match that the opportunities will start flowing back towards Kyogo Furuhashi.

Yang Hyun-jun misses today’s match through suspension. Euan Anderson will referee today’s clash.

CELTIC: Hart; Johnston, Carter-Vickers, Welsh, Taylor; Iwata, O’Riley, Bernardo; Kuhn, Kyogo, Maeda

SUBS: Bain, Lagerbielke, Idah, Holm, Oh, Vata, Kelly, Forrest, Ralston

For Fcuk Sake – Just win Celtic, Please Just win…

As to not beat St. Johnstone in two home games this season simply means we wouldn’t deserve to be Champions (with the greatest respect to The Saints of The Fair City of Perth)…

I think we will win 3-1 (but anything bigger is more than welcome of course) !

Off topic Joe…BUT…I just watched a cracking English cup tie between Wolves and Coventry…but its an INCIDENT in the game I wanted to highlight.
It involved a Wolves defender chasing out a high ball from their box…but coming towards it was a Coventry mid-fielder…Wolves player lifted his boot high into the air and caught the Coventry player full on the face with the studs…drawing blood.
    Outcome ?
No foul said referee …but VAR held the game up to study the incident…then backed the referee …No foul or card of any colour….play on
Now this challenge was ten times worse than Yang’s…so BR needs to take a clip of the incident to his “meeting” with the arseholes at the SFA…and show them what INCOMPETENCE really means.
    Hail hail.

Well Davie Hay did say after ‘referee’ David Syme handed Rangers (as they were rightly known back then) ‘victory’ in The 1986 League Cup Final that If was up to him, he’d move Celtic to The English Game lock, stock and barrel the very next day…

Your post proves that they were poetic words even 38 years ago !
