Celtic laid siege on the St Johnstone goal and the VAR technology throughout the first half of today’s 3-1 victory.
Twice within 10 minutes late in the first half Kyogo Furuhashi had the ball in the net, both were marginal decisions with one disallowed but not a 40th minute header from close range which fell on the right side of the VAR lines.
St Johnstone were on the back-foot throughout the first half with two goal-line clearances keeping the opener at bay including one decision that went to a VAR decision from Chris Graham.
From a corner in the 26th minute Luke Robinson blocked the ball, when Daizen Maeda blasted in the rebound it appeared to hit high up on Robinson’s left arm before being cleared.
Play continued for about 30 seconds then was halted, after a VAR check referee Euan Anderson resumed play with a throw-in deep inside Celtic’s half.
for me this is more of a penalty than the one given against them v Hearts.. that ball is going in the net but for the intervention https://t.co/HjILVXrOIM

Six minutes of stoppage time were added, they were halted for another VAR check before the first half was finally brought to an end.
Nicolas Kuhn added a second goal in the 46th minute with Celtic going on to win 3-1 despite an 82nd minute effort from Alistair Johnston being disallowed by VAR with no lines produced on the Celtic TV pictures.
Another 2 opposition players to sent off against Dundee tomorrow no doubt a couple of dodgy penalties throw in for goid measure.

Poor show if Celtic TV cannot provide lines for one of our own goals (not as in og) being disallowed..,
Showed lines on sportscene. Never discussed it and it wasn’t Johnston. Looks like idah aboot five minutes earlier. Summit fishy going on here.
And we know what’s going to happen…on April 7th at ibrox.
VAR and the ref are going to make even more
blatantly, controversial decisions – to guarantee a sevco win.
Then our comatose ‘CEO’ leader 🙁 will be forced to say something
publicly, [maybe?].
VAR officials will decide where the title ends up this season.
Our own Boardroom Buffoons should have been loudly complaining
about VAR – continuously – since the beginning of the season, and demanding action.
It’s simply far too late now.
Happy with the points… not happy with the scoreline…Yes we were cheated again it would appear…but given the way the game went…we should have scored at least 6…and how they scored is beyond me…Still a win is a win…Come on ye Dundee.
