The Celtic End comes back to life

The Celtic End will be revived for two of Celtic Ladies post-split fixtures is the SWPL.

Last season the initiative coupled with a very close title race generated two record crowds as Fran Alonso’s side just lost out on taking the title from Glasgow City.

Hearts and Hibs will visit Celtic Park in May, as they come out the tunnel the lower Jock Stein Stand to their left will be a wall of colour and noise as the Green Brigade (North Curve) give the fixtures the full treatment.

Celtic’s relationship with the Green Brigade has been strained at times this season with a ban and closure in place for a number of fixtures during November and the start of December including the Champions League tie at home to Feyenoord.

Reviving the concept of The Celtic End looks like relations between the club and the Ultras group are a little better but it is always a delicate situation.

Ultimately the Green Brigade want to see the Jock Stein Lower Stand turned into a Standing Section similar to that in place in many continental stadiums but for now for fixtures they will have to make do with their section between the Lisbon Lions and North Stands.

Good idea – As Celtic Ladies need to win The League Title…

I (think) we are or were ahead of Sevco on silverware (not sure if they levelled yesterday) or not as I don’t have the tally’s of both teams (I don’t think there’s three clubs with the women)…

But Sevco Women have a title that Celtic Ladies do not have –

And that needs rectified this season ASAP please…

Last season was Bloody brutal as Glasgow City beat Sevco deep into injury time (though in full credit to Sevco Women, they were professional and genuinely tried to win although it would hand the title to Celtic if they did)…

That was just like Black Sabbath all over again so it was and bloody sickening it most definitely felt like –

So this is a really good idea and while I don’t always praise Celtic – Full credit on this occasion to them !
