Despite reaching the business end of the season Philippe Clement’s side has impressively retained their discipline.

Over three matches in which they have dropped seven points the Ibrox squad has only picked up one yellow card- at Ross County on Sunday when Abdallah Sima punched the ball into the net in the hope of an equaliser.

Matthew MacDermid had little option but to show a yellow card but against Celtic and Dundee John Beaton and Don Robertson failed to issue a single booking.

With John Lundstram, Connor Goldson and John Souttar in the side it is quite an achievement for referees to get through 90 plus minutes without having to reach for a card.

In contrast Celtic had four players booked by Beaton in the recent Glasgow Derby including three during the first half.

Last night was the first time since February that Clement’s side haven’t been awarded a penalty in a domestic match.
