Ewen Cameron is dreaming of finally hosting a title party at Tynecastle.

Twice in the last decade Celtic have clinched the title by winning away to Hearts with home fans quickly vacating the premises as the champions looked out the t-shirts.

For years Cameron has been trying to establish himself as a media personality but even in the shallow Scottish talent pool he remains on the fringes.

STV2 was his biggest opportunity but after 15 months of horrific viewing figures he returned to the comfort of telly and trying to promote himself as a wacky Jambo.

Like many in maroon Hearts are a secondary, local interest with clubs from Ibrox the object of affection since they stand a more realistic chance of denying Celtic trophies.

Since May 1986 at Dens Park the anger and rage among ‘Jambos’ has gone off the radar, that season the crowds at Tynecastle were often matching those at Ibrox as folk like Cameron bought into the Alex MacDonald and Sandy Jardine dream-ticket.

Alas Albert Kidd left them with a lifelong mental scar, possibly Cameron’s most embarrassing moment in broadcasting was skipping around Ibrox in a high state of excitement waiting to meet Mister Gerrard while Celtic were becoming the first club to retain the treble.

Following Gerrard’s appointment there were two more successive Celtic trebles, both completed by beating Hearts in the final of the Scottish Cup.

What an embarrassment. More Fearts than Hearts when it comes to playing against their big brithers fae Snake Mountain.

Cameron and his ilk are reduced to praying for vicarious fulfillment via the huns since their own serial losers are incapable of doing so themselves.

We live rent free in their heads.
