Gordon Duncan was very keen to promote yesterday’s news from Aberdeen as the first ever malfunction of VAR in Scottish football.

After the weather outrages from angry bears on Super Scoreboard the show got round to something much more meaningful and important to fans of 11 Premiership clubs.

The day before John Beaton’s ‘puzzling’ performance at Ibrox Aberdeen were the victims of VAR as they battle against being involved in the relegation play off.

Peter Leven’s side found the net in the 92d minute away to Livingston but after a VAR check the goal was disallowed.

These things happen but on this occasion it just so happened that the Hawkeye version used by the SFA failed to function. The proper VAR check couldn’t be carried out so the VAR and match referee studied a still image and decided that there was a Dons player offside and disallowed the goal.

The full facts only emerged on Tuesday after Aberdeen held a meeting at Hampden to demand answers, something that Michael Nicholson has so far refused to do.

It seems that Duncan had forgotten all about the Jota incident from the first month of VAR which is strange since it involved his team, Motherwell.

The match was on PPV from Motherwell with a very long range camera used since the camera on the 18 yard line wasn’t working. David Dickinson on VAR informed Willie Collum who didn’t require a second invite to disallow a ‘goal’ from Celtic to make the match safe.

As usual the cover up from the SFA was bigger than the actual error, on their own website they reassured fans that Jota was offside when he received the ball, supporters with the most basic knowledge of the Laws of the Game know that offside is decided when the ball is played, not received.

Meanwhile despite almost two years of using VAR no Scottish officials will be anywhere near the European Championships this summer.

Lol they make comical Ali from the Sadsam Hussain time look professional.

On another matter I see Jackass Jackson at his cheerleading best in the daily sevco today screaming for fines and further severe punishment to Dundee because of the game being called off yesterday.

No mention from him on why the game could not be played before the Celtic game on Sunday though.

And no mention or apology from him why he released his previous article earlier yesterday about sevco winning at Dundee and going top of the league.

The guy is a 100% horses banger.

It’s just a bloody shame that it’s (The Scummy Scottish Football Media rag The Record) still there for you to see Joker…

Hopefully it’ll be outta business and bankrupt and bust very soon !

I said before VAR came in that it would show up our officials for the incompetents that they are.
Virtually every week one club or another has a serious issue with the use of the technology….. well every team bar one.
The technology isn’t the problem, it is the basic interpretation of the rules by people who should be nowhere near a top level football match.
Our officials must wander through life thinking they’ve won the lottery: £1000 a game and, regardless of how poor they perform, they are demoted for a week and then they are back on the gravey train.
It is an embarrassment to common sense that the same people can continually make mistakes yet still get paid so handsomely.
I think most people realise it is a difficult job however they make a difficult job look impossible.

And the time Aberdeen got screwed over by VAR, when they played Sevco. They where told VAR didn’t work during the 10 minutes.
