After five weeks out of action Callum McGregor has been named as a substitute for today’s Glasgow Derby.

The club captain has been nursed back to fitness over the last fortnight but won’t be in from the start today as Brendan Rodgers sticks with the side that won 3-0 away to Livingston last week.

With Paulo Bernardo also on the bench Rodgers has a couple of strong options for later in the match with Reo Hatate unlikely to last the full 90 minutes with the match at Livingston his first Celtic start since October.

After winning at Ibrox in September with a patchwork team the hoops are close to full strength for today’s match with just one point separating the two clubs at the top of the SPFL Premiership.

John Beaton will referee today’s match with Nick Walsh in the VAR studio.

Philippe Clement has opted to play Dujon Sterling at left-back with Ridvan Yilmaz injured, Tom Lawrence plays in midfield leaving Todd Cantwell on the bench.

CELTIC: Hart; Johnston, Carter-Vickers, Scales, Taylor; Iwata, Hatate, O’Riley; Kuhn, Kyogo, Maeda

SUBS: Bain, Idah, Yang, Nawrocki, Bernardo, McGregor, Forrest, Ralston, Welsh
