Two weeks ago Kris Boyd was like a googling schoolboy as he strapped himself into the passenger seat and soaked up the pearls of wisdom from A Proper Manger. A few days later Philippe Clement would finish Celtic off in the SPFL Premiership.

Benfica had ended the hopes of a Quadruple but the domestic treble was there to be completed with Boyd and others confidently predicting the demise of Brendan Rodgers at Celtic.

Clement could do no wrong, the odd looking guy from Belgium was on the brink of delivering the trophies demanded by the People with each season of failure raising expectations.

While Chris Sutton warned about the limitations of the Ibrox squad, especially Todd Cantwell, Boyd was too busy laughing as he counted down to watching the 2012 Tribute Act winning their first ever title in front of the adoring bears.

The first sign of trouble was when it took John Beaton delving deep to salvage a draw at home to Celtic, over the last week Boyd’s world has fallen apart with the former Rangers striker finally calling out the highly paid flops on the Ibrox payroll.

In the Sun Boyd lets rip with:

There is no real creativity from middle to front from players whose job it is to provide that.

Look at Todd Cantwell and tell me what he brings to the table. Tom Lawrence is a nice footballer, but he’s the same.

Then there’s Fabio Silva, someone who once cost £35million and will be getting paid a fortune.

I mean, wow. Just wow. It’s not his fault about the fee or the wages someone is prepared to pay for him but what is his fault is the number of times he’s caught on his heels.

I’ll cut Abdallah Sima some slack because he’s been out for so long with injuries but I said Cyriel Dessers wasn’t up to being the main striker at Rangers pretty much after taking one look at him and nothing has happened to change my mind.

And don’t start me on Rabbi Matondo, who needs the goals to be the width of the penalty box to hit the target on a regular basis.

Unfortunately for Boyd Cantwell, Lawrence, Dessers and Matondo are on long term deals, unless they get their deals paid up they’ll still be draining the pay roll into next season and beyond.

Oooooooooooooooohhh – The pain, The pain, The truth is Soooooooo PAINFUL…

And Tom Lawrence is a nice footballer ???

He was a bloody thug at Dundee on Wednesday evening by all accounts…

And of course he got off with elbow after elbow after elbow –

Just another good old night for Sevco in Scottish Football then I guess !

…..great Pal, and you modestly don’t mention Clachnacuddin’s 2-0 win? Pour quoi? They don’t win THAT often. Anyway, if you support ’em, good on ’em.
Oh and Buckie won the league, on goal difference I believe? Green and White difference.
The Green an’ Whites from the Highlands tae the Lowlands, INVINCIBLE!
The sheep gave us a real good game today and, IMO, without Big Joe they’d have nicked it. But they didn’t and WE are in another final.
Liam Scales lost us TWO goals by not being able to defend. Twice instead of being just behind the shoulder of their attack he was in front and TWICE they scored from his schoolboy error. NOT CELTIC QUALITY.
But we’re in the final and I fancy it’ll be against the Edinburgh scum and not the new scum.
    HAIL! HAIL! The Glasgow Celtic.

Aye The mighty Clachnacuddin won 2-0 today Tic-Toc…

It’s as rare as an honest SFA official is a Clach win and that’s saying something indeed then –

But they’ve avoided relegation by one place so aye must do better indeed…

Aye Congratulations to The Green n’ White Hoops of Buckie Thistle who are champions…

It was very close and a great finish indeed and hopefully The Green n’ White Hoops of Celtic have it finish and are Champions a few weeks before the final round of fixtures !
