Keith Jackson is leading calls for Phil Clement to be replaced, admitting that he is a sceptic over the brilliance of A Proper Football Manager.
At the start of April Clement had the SPFL title in sight as he prepared for the visit of Celtic with no away fans and John Beaton as referee.
The Belgian Beale went on a heart pumping Lap of Honour after a Moral Victory in that match and has been on a downhill spiral ever since. Incredibly he was given a contract extension on the eve of the new season kicking off.
Everyone in the video knows that Clement is finished, just as Beale was a year ago after a 1-0 home loss to a Celtic side that finished up with a back four of Tony Ralston, Gus Lagerbielke, Liam Scales and Alexandro Bernabei.
Since the moral victory in April everything at Ibrox has been exposed with Super Jack Butland shipping at least a goal a game to Celtic.
Captain Disappointed has excelled in his role with Cyriel Dessers and Connor Barron the best of an extremely bad bunch.
Jackson and the team at the Record now have to confront reality but apply soothing spin that won’t scare the life out of their Army of Elderly readers.
Clement’s side are next in action on Sunday September 15 when they travel to face third placed Dundee United knowing that the clock is ticking down towards another expensive change in management.

Keith’s been told to release the hounds
Phil’s a goner
Taxi for Phil.
He should be congratulated on his recent contract extension…That was a very clever piece of business …As for yesterday…Thought Scales and Bernardo were outstanding….Hail hail.
Have you ever seen a more despondent , perturbed and downright pissed off tabloid scoop than Gavin Berry is in this farce of a clip ? He is livid that his clumpany is so rank rotten ! Inaction looks like he’s been on the sauce for two weeks solid with his boat like a beetroot . Methinks he’ll still be on a bender after yesterday’s performance from the Govanland tribute act . All 4 scoops have the look of redundancy in their eyes …. they look haunted and broken ,beyond repair !
Jeezo, he looks like a Propper alky
It is quite something: the whole sevco organisation is rudderless.
A Chairman, whose background is in investment management, is without a CEO,
and he lives down south. At a time of increasing crisis, he’s invisible.
A captain who dodges media duties off the pitch – and lacks leadership on the pitch.
A sevco support who are about to simultaneously, spontaneously combust
as they vent their growing anger and frustration in every direction.
Whoever they could get in to replace Clement can only be a low key, caretaker for
the season?
And whoever is manager, the’yre going to have use these same players for the rest of the season
Think the penny has dropped for the bears: this season is a write-off! 🙂
If he stays there will be trouble….
….and if he goes there will be double!
The Sevco Huns and The Clash – Go hand in hand !
