A couple of foreign guys were given a walkaround the famous Ibrox footprint on Tuesday afternoon.

The Daily Record and STV were invited along to relay the events to their on-line audiences. Naturally no questions were asked.

A breathless Raman Bhardwaj followed the event with at least one camerman, it seems that the STV anchor-man declined to get a real scoop by stopping Andrew Cavenagh, Paraag Marathe or Gretar Steinsson for a few questions on the takeover about to revolutinise Scottish football.

STV seemed happy to provide the video content for other legacy outlets to pick up on and relay to their followers.

The Daily Record was first out the traps with a long range picture from the Sandy Jardine Stand of the guests getting the red carpet, how fortunate it was that they had a snapper in place at that time.

That very snapper was then able to follow Cavenagh, Marathe and Steinsson on their journey around Ibrox, strangely he was unable to put in a phone call to Keith Jackson or any of the other reporters at the Sports Desk to head across the Clyde to follow up their WORLD EXCLUSIVE! with a few questions.

After the late afternoon splashes on websites, news of the high profile visitors has dropped down the agenda this morning. Josh Mulligan is the lead in the Record with the battle between Arne Engels and Nico Raskin the headline story in The Sun.

The next EXCLUSIVES on the takeover are expected to appear in The Sun and the Rangers Review. Douglas Park has yet to be contacted on his thoughts, the Lanarkshire based businessman owns 11.54% of the shares in the troubled company.

Joe McHugh has been Video Celts since 2010, every day covering events in and around Scotland's most successful club.
When a six year stretch at the Sunday Mirror came to an end it was clear that the future was digital, print had ran its race.
Smart phones and social media created a new landscape, Video Celts has certainly made an impact with Joe described as having an unhealthy obsession by Peter Lawwell at the 2024 Celtic AGM. A priceless endorsement, cheers big man.
There are issues breaking around the clock, no two days are the same more than 50 years on from his first match Joe is enjoying every success for Scotland's Most Successful Club.

“Prospective new Rangers owner Andrew Cavenagh has been spotted at Ibrox as he closes in on his proposed takeover”

HIS takeover? I thought it was the 49ers? Or have the meedja been talking utter pish again?

    /rhetorical question…

Editor: When you are constantly telling porkies/shifting the goal posts it is hard to keep track.

    • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

They’re talking utter pish again when they say Prospective ‘Rangers’ – As ‘Rangers’ are very very dead !

  • Joe mcaleer says:

This new owner gambit could be just the very thing for Celtic, a revived rangers should stimulate our board to press ahead with the rebuilding of the main stand.

Editor: Need to be a hell of a revival to bring back to life a club that died in 2012, there is a thing called European football to stimulate the Celtic board but unfortunately it requires some hard work and hiring professionals rather than family members to achieve success. Can’t see that being popular.

Lol had a look on Football Insider this morning to get a good auld laugh and I wasn’t disappointed.
They have an article on Ronaldo Raskin will full on praise from a Leeds United connection in the hope Leeds might buy him in the summer.
They have quoted a Leeds United legend in being so impressed with Ronaldo Raskin, the legends name they quoted was Stuart Dallas never heard of James Hunt.

That’s how desperate these ARSEHOLES in the Scottish press are for pushing a bit of publicity for the klan klub.

As for the COMEDY trio that showed up yesterday apparently ready to throw some £300 million at the klub from ibrox, all they wanted to talk about was the weather, fuck they could have that dopey cunt Sean Batty from STV to have to them about the weather, without inviting the 3 Stooges.

  • Bob (original) says:

Looks like a group of blokes going for a walk to the pub, of a Sunday afternoon?

Yes, a rather staged PR opportunity: so when is the public announcement…

about whatever it is they are really up to?

  • Charlie Green says:

Looked awkward walking round around the bin area. Even billionaires look cheap at Ibrox and Is that, as the Americans would say, “ladies slacks” Cavanagh is wearing”?

I was hoping a couple of local worthies would have waylaid them but they must have been well warned.

Poor Paddy doesn’t look to happy as I guess he won’t be around for the revolution.
