The Celtic Corrective walks away from Backing The Board

The Celtic Corrective Twitter account has decided to walk away.

If only Wilfried Nancy, Paul Tisdale and Michael Nicholson would follow follow that example Celtic fans will have a chance of a Happy New Year.

The Celtic Corrective was a short lived attempt by someone to discredit the Celtic Fans Collective which has the backing of over 400 different branches of the Celtic support.

CELTIC COLLECTIVE STRENGTH

Within a couple of months the formation of the Collective has brought the suits to their knees.

So much so that Chairman Peter Lawwell is bailing out, sobbing away to his old mate Hugh Minnestrone Keevins about the nasty, ungrateful ‘fans’. There there, petal.

Other than Celtic Thick News and the Newsquest Trojan Horse that is the Celtic Way every fan website and podcast is wanting change at Celtic.

The Corrective published very dubious pictures to show activity in Celtic Stores.

Yes, Not Another Penny is hitting the suits hard. Not yet starved out but Adidas and a significant shareholder with a moustache are getting concerned.

The Corrective attempted to break and split the Collective. It had the opposite effect.

TIME FOR CHANGE

Fans can see the impact that the Collective has had. Not Another Penny will last into the new year, it’s not just for Christmas.

Earlier this week the Corrective staged a staged Q and A.

Half a dozen questions that could form an editorial on Thick News were asked and answered. It was comedy gold as they lauded their corporate heroes and trashed worried fans.

The Fans Collective is going to dominate during 2025.

Rather than briefing their legacy media messengers and banning supporters groups there is an obvious solution to take.

  • Become a modern football club.
  • Appoint the best people affordable based on ability. Not cronyism.
  • Don’t appoint anyone with the surname of Strachan or Lawwell.
  • Don’t get your angry boy to read out statements at the AGM.
  • Engage with supporters, lift the ban on the Green Brigade, ensure stewards inside Celtic Park don’t attack juvenile fans.

If those things happen then Nicholson, Tisdale, Chris McKay and the rest can slip out the side door quietly.

They will all however be remembered alongside Michael Kelly, Kevin Kelly and Chris White in Celtic’s history.

Joe McHugh has edited Video Celts since 2010, every day covering events in and around Scotland's most successful club.

When a six year stretch at the Sunday Mirror came to an end it was clear that the future was digital, print had ran its race.

Smart phones and social media created a new landscape, Video Celts has certainly made an impact with Joe described as having an unhealthy obsession by Peter Lawwell at the 2024 Celtic AGM. A priceless endorsement.

There are issues breaking around the clock, no two days are the same. More than 50 years on from his first match Joe is enjoying the ongoing successes of Celtic.

Wee question: how long did it take the Motherwell manager to implement his system and get his players to fully understand their roles in the team?
Answer: almost instantly..Motherwell have been playing like last night all season long.
Their manager is in a different class to ours.

Good solid pro’s,guided by a man who knows exactly what he wants, and how to get his message across to his players, schooled us last night.
I’d love to know what is really happening in our dressing room and in the minds of the players…”we just have to keep working hard and trying to improve” simply won’t do.
Senior players need to confront this head on with the powers that be…from the manager upwards.

We were outplayed, out thought, out fought ( we had no fight ) and outside looking in ,at a brilliant use of resources by a very able and intelligent manager .
Is it too much to ask the same for our great club ?

  • Bhoy4life says:

Why would Peter Lawwell, the chairman of our club, a man who professes his love for Celtic, gravitate towards a man who has only ever had Celtic’s worst interest’s at heart?
He called Keevin’s, a man who’s judgement is utterly compromised when it comes to anything Celtic.
A man who’s opinions are solely based on what he wants to happen, what he wishes would happen, rather than anything analytical or subjective.
Just why would someone in such a position see Hugh Keevin’s as an ally rather than someone who couldn’t be trusted?
Is this the source of the leaks that have plagued the club for so long?
Strange choice to go cry your eyes out to.

Joe I’m so sick of this Celtic board and their bull shit, i like thousands of other fans travel over from Ireland to support our team as many times as I can ( money permitting) between flights, hotel and sterling i have very little change from 1000 euro, so when i hear pricks like Lawwell & his side kick Nicholson bad mouthing and telling lies about the Celtic fans they really make me sick, so i say time is up for these pluffers, one down and a lot more to go.

A normal family spends approximately £3,000+per annum watching Celtic ( tickets and merchandise)
I would advocate no season book or jersey purchases till after the summer signings .
IF 20,000 families did this then YOU WOULD SEE CHANGE .
There is no risk to the financial stability of the club with this due to its bank balance!
With the back up of a supposed 18,000 people waiting for a season book – no risk at all .
Though I doubt if the sponsors would be happy

Why oh why do the people that run Celtic hate it so very much !
