It was classic Chris Sutton as he sat down to review the season with his media buddies Kris Boyd and Steven Naismith.
Season 25/26 was one like no other as Celtic changed management team three times, lost eight SPFL matches yet still finished the season as Champions.
Boyd and Naismith were heartbroken, devastated and gutted.
All played out in front of the cameras as they pronounced Celtic dead and buried.
Even Sutton gave up on the hoops. After beating St Mirren 1-0 in the final pre-split fixture Sutton gave up on his old gaffer.
Celtic weren’t convincing but they had just won two SPFL matches following the horrors of Tannadice.
Incredibly five more SPFL wins delivered the title.
Boyd almost imploded on Sky Sports when Celtic were awarded a penalty away to Motherwell.
He was so distressed that he refused to turn up for the SPFL decider between Celtic and Hearts.
‘Rangers’ are coming has been the mantra for 14 years. They fluked one title behind closed doors. This season they couldn’t even finish second!
Absolute classic Chris Sutton patter right here… all in a 30 second clip
“I feel for you”
“It’s not nice for your team to be rubbish every season”
“For you to be upbeat every year, I do admire that” and
“The Rangers are coming” @chris_sutton73 never change mate ?? pic.twitter.com/cED8qKy9ho

Sutton’s concession came before Danny Rohl’s side won 5-3 away to Falkirk. Coming back from 2-0 down.
SUTTON LAPS UP THE LATEST IBROX FAILURES
What could possibly go wrong for the free scoring Ibrox machine.
Youssef Chermiti and Bojan Miovski were rattling the goals in.
And then came Marbella. What went on during that bonding session will remain secret but the follow up was spectacular.
Motherwell won at Ibrox.
Derek McInnes and Lawrence Shankland virtually killed them off at Tynecastle.
Daizen Maeda finished the job at Celtic Park. James Tavernier’s final appearance was as a loser against Celtic.
The icing on the cake was Celtic’s Scottish Cup win.
Two days later Shankland was a bear. And all of a sudden ‘Rangers are coming was revived.
Sutton has heard it all before. He’ll hear it again as Scotland’s newest club repeats their cycle of self destruction.

Boyd would ingratiate himself to a wide base of fans if he came across as magnanimous in his day job.
But it’s all just for show as he knows Sutton, and most other sensible thinking pundits, would make him look like the biased angry hateful idiot he is in a heartbeat.
