Joining Charlie Mulgrew for a round of golf Auston Trusty has refuelled the greatest meltdown in the history of Scottish football.
Derek McInnes called it disgusting, Kris Boyd and Ally McCoist struggled to keep their anger within broadcasting rules.
To an outsider it must seem hilarious.
For Celtic fans it is the icing on the cake, topping things off after an unlikely domestic double was achieved.
To anyone impartial the only controversy was whether the penalty should have been awarded for handball or an elbow into Trusty’s face.
It seems that no-one has questioned Sam Nicholson over what on earth he was doing running backwards when two team-mates were covering Trusty.
BEATON AND DALLAS PROVIDE JUSTICE FOR TRUSTY
True to form referee John Beaton saw neither the handball or the elbow in the face. Top of the nose according to Trusty. Instead Beaton awarded a throw-in to Motherwell as he considered dropping into the Crown Bar on the way home.
Fortunately VAR did its job. It had avoided the first half assault on Daizen Maeda by Calum Ward. Avoiding a second Celtic penalty would be too much, even for Andrew Dallas. In February 2019 Dallas once awarded the home side four penalties at Ibrox against St Mirren.

Trusty was utterly bemused by the fall out.
Three weeks on it shows no sign of slowing down.
Every few days the Daily Record creates fresh footage. A new unseen angle is uncovered.
Had the match been played between August and March barely a word of complaint would have been heard. The decision making of Nicholson would have been raised.
The timing also factored.
Hearts had finished their 3-0 win over Falkirk. They were on the pitch taking their CHAMPIONS acclaim when news came through from Fir Park.
Trusty knows the score in Scottish football. The agendas in play. And he laughs it off over a round of golf, with two winners medals as he prepares for the World Cup.
Disgusting. Truly disgusting.

Jeffrey Espstein, are we still talking about him.
Opps, sorry that was big Donald that said that.
Austin Trusty are we still talking about him.
Penalty Sick !
Even threes weeks later…
Hopefully fu**in ETERNALLY !
This penalty has been given more analysis and conspiracy theories than the Kennedy assassination FFS.
Never a penalty. It was 5 penalties – 2 other ‘Well players pushed Trusty in back, one shirt tugged him + Nicholson 2 fouls.
