  1. Maybe it came from someone trying to wind up Celtic fans… his offer was still higher than Celtic’s by at least £1.3 million. If he manages to start 35 games this season and lasts 90 mins then Celtic will look stupid but likely hood is that we’ve dodged a bullet.

  2. Spinning this a bit. He got a 3 year contract in turkey, we offered two. It’s not a great leap of faith to think that he came back to Celtic asking for a bit more considering what he already has banked as an offer, especially when you consider tax. Bear in mind about half of the wage is taxed in the uk at that level

  3. Or maybe Gannon of the daily Record plucked the figures out of the air and thought fans would be so gullible to accept his ‘attempted journalism ‘ without questioning them . The same daily Record which sent wee Scotty on an ‘exclusive ‘ jolly to Austria for an interview with ex theRangers coacher guy Herr Rohl as to why he was an abject failure last season finishing third in the league ? It’s blindingly obvious as to where the rag’s priorities lie in Scottish football . A mob paper circling the drain of extinction yet find the funds to send one person (at least ) for a sit down with an ex theRangers employee on his very short time in Govanlandia! Have they never heard of Zoom Video interviews ? It saves you a fortune in transport ..hotel ..food ..lagers for breakfast and other high expenses. All for the loyal cause I suppose from the daily Record….
