  1. There’s an inflexible, immovable and very restrictive system being adhered to at Celtic with no one having the authority to challenge.

It’s either being implemented by MN or he is under instruction from DD and hasn’t the minerals to challenge it.

It just isn’t feasible that an entire board can possibly act in this way year in year out without realising that it is inflicting severe harm on Celtic both financially and structurally.

Someone somewhere has laid down strict guidelines that cannot be strayed from and the lemmings that wear the suits follow them diligently.

The 300k story reinforces my view on this.

How can a deal that only needs a nudge in that direction to get done, for a player they obviously deem worthy, not get done for the sake of 300k?

And another thing, what does that attitude do to the players feeling of worth to his suitors?

Whatever fiscal rules the suits are adhering to, and the inbuilt inflexibility, is harming Celtic.

I just simply refuse to believe we have a board so stupid as to behave this way without something that binds it all together in the background.

Editor: July 2012 binds them together, closer than ever.

      1. It may be as simple as the establishment club can never be allowed to fail again, and a strong, wealthy winning Celtic threatens that very existence.
With every league and cup victory we push them closer to irrelevance and financial disaster due to the fact they cannot access the only big money on offer to keep the wolves from the door….the CL.
And not only do we stop them accessing that money, we commit footballing suicide by seemingly deliberately missing out on it ourselves.
You’d swear it was orchestrated, if Sevco can’t have it, neither can Celtic.
The 5WA will have been written with a view to keeping Sevco solvent and relevant, even at our expense.

        1. I’ve been saying this since the law was.changed to allow multi club ownership. Suddenly bloom at Hearts and the new Hun board (yanks) how do we know there hasn’t been a backroom business deal by desmond and the others to make the league more competitive at Celtics expense but desmond will be recompensed in other ways, competitive league, tight run ins, more sponsorship. It’s the only way to explain the last few transfer windows.
