Late on Thursday night Celtic fans were treated to a podcast from E-tims. The state of the club and the status of Martin O’Neill featured heavily.
Unusually the introduction wasn’t Celtic related.
One of the team had been over at the World Cup Final and shared details of his Boston experience.
Normally international football is an instant turn off for Celtic fans but this year has been different.
Fans looked forward to a break away from Celtic. The painful football on show to match the gas-lighting from Brian Wilson and his side-kick, Mute Mike.
The World Cup provided an even better distraction as the best part of six weeks took attention away from another shambles from Nicholson Productions. One that made Summer 2025 seem like an exercise in forward thinking from a visionary board.
As the Etims chat returned to club football there was one very interesting comment from Monty Burns on the state of Celtic.
SPECULATION OVER MARTIN O’NEILL RESIGNING

No legacy media source has touched the rumour. Not even to deny it.
Celtic do have a game tomorrow but it seems that even the club doesn’t want to give it any publicity.
Last week Vil Sinisalo previewed the friendly against Middlesbrough, O’Neill only spoke afterwards.
On Thursday Camilo Duran spoke through an interpreter about his move to Celtic.
Today there was no media activity from Celtic.
No interviews. Matchday -1 SNS are usually at Lennoxtown for 15 minutes of pictures. But not today.
On social media it was business as usual with a mixture of selling merch and tickets.
Tomorrow Celtic’s preferred messengers will be invited to attend a media conference after the AC Milan match.
Callum McGregor and Arne Engels won’t be getting put up for interview.
It will be hard for O’Neill to avoid the post match conference without fuelling speculation about his future.

Personally I hope the Legend that is MON had the rumoured salary of Brendan’s minus the 30% they demanded to sign the new contract for this season.
I hope it’s iron clad, payable in full if they fire him or if he resigns. No convenient let it be known family illness this time fed to the SMSM when the chronic austerity and cost reduction imposed by PL virtually made his position untenable to achieve any sort of success or progress.
MON is earning his money at the moment as a Human Shield but the football starts next week and the UCL Qualifier is both a line in the sand and a Red Line.
I hope The Stockholm Syndrome he is so evidently displaying does not cloud his judgement to the possibilities of success ( or lack thereof!) and does not ultimately cloud or impinge upon his standing with the Celtic Supporters but I fear for him if he continues to defend and support this Chronic Incompetence and Deliberate Downsizing and Decline…..
