Michael Nicholson has been posted missing in the aftermath of the publication of a report into the incidents of the Scottish Cup tie at Ibrox on March 8.
It took the SFA more than four months to publish a report about the match that saw Celtic players and staff physically attacked on the pitch.
Housed in the Broomloan Road Stand Celtic fans had a flare launched at them from the pitch.
As per usual Nicholson has said and did nothing.
The man being paid £17,000 a week to provide leadership and direction at the club.
Nicholson hasn’t said a word to club media since 17 December 2025.
The CEO voiced his admiration for Peter Lawwell and Wilfried Nancy. Almost forgotten was his claim that three employees were assaulted inside Celtic Park following the League Cup Final defeat.
There has been no follow up on that claim. No release of CCTV, no arrests, no-one charged.
Nicholson hasn’t been heard of since that claim. Fans in Cork did get to hear the £17,000 a week CEO admit that he can’t cope with football agents.
We still calling Brian Wilson an “interim” chairman?

Interim Chairman Brian Wilson offered the Celtic defence on the club website.
NICHOLSON THE ABSENTEE EXECUTIVE
There was as little depth to it as his monthly supporters update with Gerry McCulloch. The last of those was on June 11 accompanying the appointment of Martin O’Neill.
Typical of Wilson there was no specifics or detail in his response to the report.
It seems that Celtic’s Security Officer was excluded from the pre-match planning until three days before the match.
The Celtic ticket allocation was trebled from the SPFL match a week earlier. The same entry routes were in place.
Quite clearly Nicholson has absolutely no intention of changing how he picks up his salary.
He says as little as possible with Wilson taking on most of the duties associated with a CEO.
Wilson has been Interim Chairman since January 1 following the sudden departure of Lawwell. He has been a Non Executive Director since 2005.

Listen, telephobia is a real thing. It’s a specific form of anxiety that causes distress during phone calls, often due to fears of judgment or the unpredictability of conversations. It can lead to physical symptoms like sweating and rapid heartbeat, and is increasingly common in a world where texting has become the primary mode of communication. Michael needs some 1:1 MH support asap.
Dear Celtic, since retirement, I do pretty much fuck all.
I also cannot cope with agents or speak in public.
Can I get the CEO job, since these appear to be the necessary qualifications?
£17,000 a week would also be nice.
Nicholson is a back office guy (which most of us are).
He doesn’t have the skillset and/or confidence to deliver
the public facing duties of a high profile plc.
But, he is paid a hefty salary and bonus to perform that role.
Not a good look… for him or for the Board collectively.
“Michael needs some 1:1 MH support asap.”
If he needs some “1:1” support then I’m available to help.
All he has to do is tell me which bridge he wants to jump off, either the Kingston or Erskine and I’ll arrange to be there to give him all the “support” he requires. Wilson, McKay, Lawwell and Desmond are welcome to join him and I won’t even charge them for it.
Nicholson has been running that often from his responsibilities, he’s fitter than the players.
