The Celtic Fans Collective will meet with club representatives next week.
The meeting has been arranged around Celtic Connect, the club’s initiative to improve connections with supporters.
Two members of the Collective will meet with John Paul Taylor and George Campbell to share their views on fan communications.
The meeting will be held on Tuesday and is the first direct contact with the club since February which was attended by Brian Wilson.
Having the Head of Fan Engagement and the Head of Legal Governance is probably more meaningful than the Interim Chairman.
At the meeting in February Wilson repeatedly mentioned how he had no executive powers. Everything discussed would be fed up the chain.
Tonight in an email update the Collective announced:
Celtic FC has been aware for a number of months that members of the Celtic Fans Collective have invested significant time in developing proposals for what we believe a successful and meaningful model of fan engagement could look like.
Following the consultation process, and the feedback submitted by members of the Collective, representatives have now been invited to meet with the Club to present these proposals to John Paul Taylor, Head of Fan Engagement, and George Campbell, Head of Legal and Governance.
We will also use the meeting to provide further feedback on the existing Celtic Connect proposal, informed by the comments we have received from members.

The timing of the meeting is interesting, two days after the Glasgow Derby.

Whatever the rights and wrongs of any issue the emotions of supporters is heavily influenced by results on the park.
Online there has been heavy criticism of the board on the back of defeats away to LASK Linz and at Ibrox.
Celtic are also likely to publish their Annual Report in the next week or so.
Last year the report was published on September 19 revealing turnover of £143.6m, profit after tax of £33.9m and a bank balance of £77.3m.
It is not clear if the meeting is only for the Collective or if other supporter organisations have also been invited to send two representatives.
The Collective has been running for around a year. Last September an open letter backed by seven supporter groups quickly gained traction with most of the existing supporter organisations backing the new group.
That open letter evolved into the Collective being formed.
Since then there has also been the formation of Celtic Supporters Limited and the Season Ticket Holders Alliance with all groups looking for a minimum of improved communications with the executives.
Not a penny more is the only reason they have come to the table because it’s crippling them So you must keep it going To stop it now would take us back to the start where they just ignored us
Well well well this Celtic board has never prayed for 2 Celtic wins in the next 5 days so much in there life, there’s gonna be hell to pay if we slip up again but it’s too late yet again this season the damage has already been done
Unfortunately, and unlike previous crisis, we just don’t have the personnel in the building to constitute an effective midfield, so we can’t really change it. I think our only hope is to remove any pressure from a ‘not fit for purpose’ midfield, such as I saw suggested by going 3-5-2, or some such radical move. There’s no guarantee of success, but to play the set up we have, with the midfield we have, is suicide anyway.

JP is a decent and honest person, and in my dealings with him over the years he has always been extremely helpful. I have no idea about George Campbell. I’ve never heard of him and to be quite honest I’m not really sure what his job title involves.
What really strikes me about this meeting is the fact that one board member who attended the last meeting will not be at this one! I think that speaks volumes of the importance the board puts on these meetings and their genuine interest in taking on board anything supporters representatives put to them.
I’m fairly certain the PLC did this trick last year before the golf. Then once it passed was a continued case of stuff you and move along!
Editor: There was a planned schedule of silence for three matches. After the first Celtic arranged a meeting with multiple Supporter groups, eventually the Collective were included with 26 different supporters at the meeting as Nicholson shrugged his shoulders over club signings. Brendan Rodgers resigned later in the month.
