Even in the halcyon days of the first decade of this century Celtic won just 11 Champions League matches. Decent, some big scalps but absolutely nothing sustained.

Charlie Methven from the Business of Football podcast recently assesses Celtic’s failure to see of LASK to reach the Champions League.
He concluded that Celtic were baked in to failure. A club based around failure in European competition but living off fan generated income streams from beating the dross of Scottish football.
Methven and his podcast are watched, listened to and respected.
None of Celtic’s messengers bothered trying to counter the claims made.

The club won’t progress until we have a CEO who is allowed to do his job and to be ‘allowed’ to stand up to a major investor (who should not be calling the shots btw). Dom McKay was the last guy to do his job and look what happened to him and what has happened since: spineless lapdogs as CEO and CFO. Time to go

I was at Baltray with a workmate from Portugal when Shane Lowry won the Irish Open as an amateur all those years ago. Early on the first day’s play we were beside Lee Westwood on the 5th tee as he prepared to drive. Your man’s phone rang and Westwood had a pop at him only to be told “Fuck off, I’m speaking to my wife.” End of Westwood’s round!!! Any fans hoping to protest against our biggest shareholder and his sons at the Dunhill Cup should keep it simple. No need to shout or roar at them out on the course.
