After one month at Celtic Mika Baur has been named in the German international squad.
New boss Jurgen Klopp made a splash by announcing 44 names for the upcoming Nations League matches.
A squad of twenty outfield players are allowed for each match with Baur in the squad for matches against Serbia and Greece on October 1 and 4.
Baur arrived at Celtic last month having played for Germany at a variety of under age levels.
Now after starting six matches for his new club Baur has been called into the full international squad with every chance of returning to Celtic with a full international cap.
Specifics: he’s in for the Serbia game Oct 1 and Greece Oct 4, his first senior Germany call-up.

BAUR MAKES A BIG IMPRESSION
Klopp was the overwhelming choice to manage Germany on the back of another disappointing World Cup campaign.

With a squad of 44 named two groups of 20 players will be listed for the matches against Holland and Greece with another 20 man squad named to play Serbia and Greece.
Baur has made a tidy start to his Celtic career but has been part of a midfield that struggles to function as a unit.
Callum McGregor and Ben Nygren also have vast international experience but as a midfield combination there is a lack of physicality when they combine.

In the past, moving to Scotland sounded the death knell for the international careers of Andres Thom, Andreas Hinkel and Jorg Albertz.
