Even Rod Stewart has turned against Nicholson & Co
Rod Stewart has joined in the criticism of the Celtic board.
Michael Nicholson might think that he heads up a world class football club but not many others share that opinion.
Ross Desmond might like to look down his nose at entitled fans with an anti-establishment agenda but a regular guest in the Directors Box shares many of the views and concerns of ordinary fans.
In 1995 Stewart was given a seat for life in the Directors Box in return for opening the brand new North Stand.
Ten minutes before the final whistle against Celta Vigo the North Stand was half full/empty.
By the time that the final whistle went there was a few pockets of fans left, the rest knew the script off by heart.
They had watched Braga, Roma, Stuttgart and Ferencvaros fans celebrate over the last 13 months.
Over in a corner of Celtic Park over 3,000 Celts fans were enjoying their best ever trip.
The Celtic Park Experience remains on the Bucket List of many fans across Europe.
STEWART DOESN’T LIKE THE VIEW FROM THE CELTIC DIRECTORS BOX
A friendly welcome, a day or two of food and drink, plenty of celebration content for social media and the guarantee of three points.
A growing number of Celtic fans are growing tired of the script. Of being patronised. Those fabled European nights under the lights aren’t what they used to be.
Once upon a time it was AC Milan, Benfica and Shakhtar Donetsk visiting in autumn. Now it is Ferencvaros, Celta Vigo and Beskitas.
As Stewart looks at the Europa League table he finds Celtic sitting 35th out of 36. In UEFA’s secondary tournament.
It seems that the embarrassment is getting through to a friend of the Directors Box.
? “Maybe they’ve got a point” ?
Celtic-daft Sir Rod Stewart provides unlikely support for Green Brigade boycott ?

Listening to the singer on TalkSPORT before the match The Sun reports Stewart saying:
It’s so negative, and I hope it doesn’t ring down to the players’ thoughts as they come out the tunnel.
I think maybe they’ve got a point, the supporters.
Hopeless performances is only part of the reason for the Green Brigade boycott. The level of animosity to them from the club is ridiculous, highlighted by the security that they have to go through and scrutiny that they come under.
Our transfers have been sloppy sometimes. But then, on the other side of it, look how many trophies we’ve won.
The players have got to step up to get [the fans’] back.
That part of the ground is empty, the Green Brigade not turning up. So the rest of the supporters have got to make a lot of noise.
Like any league, a couple of wins on the trot, if that happens, can shoot you right up to the top.
So we do have to win tonight to stand any chance.
Good luck with that Rodney.
No one in the front rows of the Directors Box is remotely bothered by losing football matches. The gravy train never stops.
The more voices being raised against the ‘managed’ decline imposed by Nicholson the better.
Celtic’s decline over the last two years would have led to sackings at any normal football club.
Hopefully the message is being passed on to Daddy by Ross Desmond.
Only once the embarrassment reaches that level with the clear out at Celtic begin with competent appointments made from outside the usual circles.

We are treading Nancy Boy territory again…
Certainly in Europe anyway !
