Kenny Miller's verbal attack on Celtic

|

KENNY MILLER CELTIC NEWSFormer Rangers striker Kenny Miller believes that the SPL title is bound for Ibrox because of Celtic’s complaints about officials.

Speaking the day after his old side lost 1-0 to Hearts at Tynecastle the £50,000/week striker revealed that the Rangers players believe that any referee complaints from Celtic are a sign that the hoops can’t handle the pressure.

“When the Gers boys see Celtic getting more and more wound up about referees and decisions against them, you begin to think ‘We’ve got them’,” Miller told the News of the World.

“The more they moan, the more you know they are struggling. At Rangers we knew, the more noise that came out of Celtic, the more we could turn the screw because the pressure was getting to them.

“When you have that negative mentality it does have an affect on you. At the end of the day, if you are an Old Firm player you have to go out and win games, not make excuses.

“But if you blame it on somebody else every time you lose, it just smacks of desperation.”

Miller’s last derby match as a Rangers player was earlier this month when a double from Georgios Samaras gave Celtic the points. Analysis of that match showed that he touched the ball four times during the second half.

Whilst Neil Lennon has highlighted honest mistakes that have gone against Celtic this season the Bursaspor ace reminded readers that Rangers also on the wrong end of decisions.

Looking back to a visit to Aberdeen in August 2008 Miller recalled: “Do you think Rangers players don’t remember decisions that go against them? You just don’t hear us going on about it.

“In my first year back I remember DaMarcus Beasley’s ‘goal’ against Aberdeen at Pittodrie being ruled out for offside in the last minute of the game. We would have won 2-1 that day, instead of drawing 1-1.

“Even though that decision came at the start of the season, it could still have cost us the league.

“It was never offside, it was clearly a good goal and that one decision could have cost us the title.

“Who knows what would have happened to Rangers if we had lost the league that season and the Champions League money which went with it? But we never went on and on about it.

“No one called for anyone’s head, no one claimed the world was against us – we just got on with it and won the league.

“The other week we had our Scottish Cup tie with Killie switched from a Saturday to a Monday night and couldn’t get a midweek SPL fixture played because of it.

“It meant Celtic could have gone ten points clear of us and left us to play catch-up with a big backlog of fixtures to make up.

“But we never moaned about anyone handing Celtic a big advantage by getting their points on the board, even though it would have given them a huge psychological advantage and heaped more pressure on us.

“All of this talk about conspiracies and ridiculous claims that refs are bending over backwards to help Rangers out of their financial troubles is just nonsense.”

Miller of course is uniquely qualified to discuss and compare both teams having recently won SPL titles and played in the Champions League in both sides of the city.

In five Champions League appearances for Gordon Strachan he scored three goals, under Walter Smith he scored once in 11 Champions League matches- ironically against Bursanspor.

  • Kenny Miller is nothing but a little rim jobby. His ‘views’ are worthless.

  • Patman says:

Kenny, nobody likes ye. So fack afff.

  • Lisbon67 says:

What a ROASTER wee Jenny is.lol

  • Briano says:

That would explain why Rangers didn’t crumble at Ibrox on January 2nd and why they resisted the Jambos at Tynecastle yesterday. Spot on Kenny.

  • Danny says:

Kenny goes back 3 years to find a decision which went against them, we only have to go back 2 weeks to find our latest ‘honest mistake’

  • Mike Bhoyle says:

He never mentioned Nakamura’s free kick at Love St. at the end of the last century…..
however BBC HUN Scotland still mention it “in the passing”….
    Only in Scotland…..

  • Gordon says:

Danny hits the nail on the head! I was struggling to think of the last time a game-changing decision went against R****rs. I’d like to thank Kenny for clearing that one up for me.

Personally, I don’t care if we have a ‘the world’s against us attitude. Some people refer to this as a ‘siege mentality’. This has been used to great effect by some of the greatest managers in the game including Jock Stein and SAF to name two.

Also, were you not in the papers this week whinging that Paolo Di Canio wrecked your move to Italy. Yip, a TV pundit stopped you moving to Fiorentina. But surely, “if you blame it on somebody else every time you lose, it just smacks of desperation.”

I remember when Martin O’Neill pulled out of signing a player when he heard big DJ saying on the radio “I think he’s pish!”

We all know it was actually a call from Gok Wan the ended your move to Italy. He pointed out that a purple strip would clash terribly, with your orange face!

Kenny, you couldn’t wait to get away from R****rs to make a quick buck (don’t tell me it’s always been your dream to play in Turkey). To now go shooting your mouth of is what ‘just smacks of desperation’.

Now shut up and get back to your kebab!

  • neildo says:

Its ok Kenny, no matter what you say or do, the huns will never forgive or forget.

  • Malky says:

Kenny you tantastic turn coat, I would like to see the tears streamin down your face if you found out you were being lied to and the subject of religious discrimination, but then we would want to give your streaks.

  • Jake says:

Kenny makes some valid points and raises some pertinent facts what do celtc fans do? Look the other way. They look the other way because it doesn’t fit their delusional world view.

Look up ‘Confirmation Bias’ ladies. You can either do this on the net or in your mirror, results the same.

    • Lordofthewing says:

Please clarify his valid points I need a laugh.

    • The best Miller can come up with is a decision from 3 years ago. I imagine if he was on the wrong side of the many decisions against Celtic recently he would change his tune.

The same goes for the Rangers fans and I simply don’t believe them if they say otherwise. Nobody would sit back and take the sheer amount of shocking decisions we’ve had recently on the chin.

    Delusional world veiw?

Leaving aside your obvious (latent) homosexual tendencies “ladies”, how does 64 mill owed to Her Majesty The Queen sound?

    Delusional enough?

Your not looking the other way by any chance? lol!

Lizzie wants her wedge, not 3 mill, not 5mill, not the recent ammount that Lizzy told the huns to shove were the sun don’t shine, of 10 mill, NO, Lizzie wants her dough, and she wants it all!!lol!!

A club on the verge of insolvancy who don’t even own the strips they wear!

    Ye looking away yet?

And I’m not even starting on Lloyds, because unlike in the past few years, when dodgy dave ripped off EVERY single investor to put money into ‘his’ club, trousering the money, banks actually expect , unbelievably, that any money they lend out has to be paid back with interest, and like auld Lizzy, they don’t give a feck what colour of strip you wear, or if you consider yourselves to be the ‘establishment club, quintessentialy british, the queens 11 (lol!), or indeed ra peepel, they want their feckin’ money, and they want it feckin’ now!

So we could be talking of combined debts of over a 100 million bucks from a club who has already sold everything that isn’t nailed down, including all the catering, merchandising and of course that world reknowned conveyor belt of talent murray park(not that the huns ever owned that in the first place lol)

I suggest you should look up the word ‘delusional’, or as you say, look in the mirror!!!

  • conall says:

Perma-tan fails to mention that they had such a backlog of fixtures because their stadium was falling apart!

  • Joe says:

Well, while his comments irritate us, he does have a point. Lennon pushes negativity through the ranks when he is openly verbal on this subject.

While Kenny Miller was not the greatest player ever to pull on the hoops one thing he could never be accused of is hiding during games.

He was badly treated by us and made us pay several times since he went back to the huns. But we do need to get out focus right. He is certainly right about that part.

Lennon needs to step back and let the refs and Celtic board fight it out between them. He still thinks he is that wee boy in Northern Ireland sometimes.

He needs to lose that. He is now the manager of the biggest and best team in the world who also happen to have the best fans in the world.

He needs to focus on his job, not look for excuses. The bad decisions that have been blatant against us since this all blew up are clearly retribution and it hurts Celtic.

Lennon needs to get that message. On a side note, that was the best game I ever saw Brines having while in charge of a Celtic game yesterday.

I suspect Wednesday against Hearts does open a door for the bias again though, whoever happens to be the man in the middle.

  • Jake says:

Delusional in the sense that Lennons 6 match ban was, and I quote, “unprecedented”. Clearly the short, or more correctly, selective memory of Celtc and their fans forgets Souness’s two year ban from the touchline. Yes, you read it right, two (2) years.

But no, Celtc are the hard done by club and Rangers are the establishment club. James Farry must have some Gers fans eh ladies? Handing out a two year ban to a Rangers manager proves it.

Like I said, confirmation bias where you focus on the perceived wrongs your club receives and extrapolate that to mean other clubs are therefore favoured but if you look more closely you’ll see other clubs do indeed receive their fair share of bad decisions, tough penalties and that’s precisely what Kenny Miller pointed out with a couple of examples.
But there’s loads more and for every bad decision one celtc and it’s fans can point to, fans of other clubs can point to their own.

The ting is, of course fans of any club can remember their own perceived injustices yet fail to recall similar amounts of poor calls for other teams.

All I would say is go and ask your mates who are fans of provincial clubs about their teams injustices and you’ll no doubt find a list as long as the one for your own.

    • Mark says:

you idiot, both cases are wrong, its the SFA that are backward….. a 6 match ban for a first offence is a disgrace

  • Mark says:

So let me get this straight, Miller has to go back to 2008 to recall a decision against them at the start of the season that ended up not making a difference that year at all, while Celtic have had 10 crazy decisions against them in the space of 5 months this season.

The irony is lost on him because he is moaning now about something that happened 3 years ago. At least Celtic are moaning about decisions against them every second week this season…what a money grabbing clown. Safe to say he is hated by both sides of the old firm!

  • Max says:

Farry was found guilty in a court of law, no paranoia, no delusions, but a PROVEN cheating scumbag who deliberately, proven in law, with held the transfer of Cadette to the benefit of the huns. END OF!

Institutionalised sectarian, bigoted and racist behaviour has yet again been proven this season within the SFA, and is on official papers for all to see.

Again no paranoia, no delusions but a proven fact on public record.

An SPL official was discovered to have lied to the manager of the biggest club in the country, lied to his immediate superior and lied to the media, his head of departement , dallas was not only heavily involved in the sectarianism and racism, but was also found to lied to the media concerning this story knowing full well it was a lie.

Both then went on to lie and betray a fellow official whilst claiming that the said official and his family had recieved threatening phone calls, anonymous of course, only for the official to attest that this was not the case and that he had in fact been “harassed and bullied” by Dallas himself.

Lennon was subsequently received an “unprecedented” 6 match touchline ban for any manager with absolutely no previous bans.

We seen ‘Wattie’ flying into one of his cantankarous auld ned routines last season against Hibs, were he screamed bawled poked his finger and spat in the faces of just about everyone around him.

He then went on to manhandle and rough house a match official before finally being physically dragged away, still bawling at the top of his lungs in what can only be described as violent aggressive conduct, and recieved a 2 match ban.

This ban was later increased to four for a similar incident.

Since then Lenny and two of his fellow Irishmen in the team have recieved bullets and death threats through the post for no other reason than their religion and nationality, and has been on the recieving end of vile sectarian abuse by hun scumbags who don’t have the ‘dignity’ to leave the guy alone even though he was at a family night out at the theatre with his wife and baby daughter.

It really makes you wonder just what we’ve got to complain about doesn’t it!!

Ps. Lizzy still wants her wedge lol!!!

  • jbhoy says:

so kenny is moaning about celtic moaning…

  • Josh says:

The amount of paranoid bile on this website is embarrassing.

Kenny has a great point and our fans cant even see it.

Why is the Gods hoenst truth so hard for Celtic fans to take?

We will win the league, The Gers are imnploding and we are getting stronger.

Stop the worlds against us, stop the bigotry and stop the conspiracy bullshit, its pathetic.

    In Neil we trust.

    Hail Hail

  • Joe McHugh says:

There is no paranoia, bigotry or bile on this site- that’s for others.

The comments on here are best summoned up by Kenny Miller moaning about Celtic moaning!

Paranoia, bigotry and conspiracies are lazy labels for those that don’t like Celtic or reasoned arguments.

The fact that Miller goes back two and a half years to an honest mistake effecting Rangers is telling.

As is his moaning about fixtures.
