George Peat's own goal in Neil Lennon ban

|

George Peat Celtic newsBungling SFA President George Peat has performed a spectacular own goal in his bid to ban Neil Lennon from the touchline.

Lennon’s appeal against a two match ban was heard at Hampden on January 12- the day of the fifth round draw for the Scottish Cup.

Stenhousemuir chief Peat chaired the Disciplinary Committee for Lennon’s appeal but left the hearing to conduct the draw for the Scottish Cup before returning to hand Lennon a six match ban.

Later that day on Radio Scotland Lennon confirmed the version of events mentioning how Peat returned with a smile to tell him that Celtic had been drawn away to Rangers in the Scottish Cup!

Peat’s absence from part of the appeal is now being used by Celtic to defend their manager against the unprecedented touchline ban handed to their manager.

It has been suggested that the SFA have offered Celtic a retrial but that option has been turned down by Lennon’s legal team.

It has also been claimed that Lennon’s legal team were denied the opportunity to cross exam referee Craig Thomson and fourth official Steven McLean about the incident during a Hearts Celtic match in November.

Following the appeal against Lennon’s ban Celtic and Peat got involved in a war of words, or statements, with President Peat describing Celtic’s actions as increasingly tiresome.

Faced with hiring their own expensive legal team to cover up for the incompetence of their President it’s likely that there will be some people within the SFA that are finding Peat to be increasingly tiresome.

If it wasn’t for the Masonic cult at the SFA he’d be sacked, it doesn’t surprise me anymore at his behavior. Is it any wonder Scottish football is a joke! – Clowns govern our game.

There always was and always will be the “establishment” to contend with in Scotland. Look at the facts. Dallas was a glaring statistic. Dougie Dougie couldn’t even tell the truth about why he made a decision, proving that it was, yes you guessed it, a lie with a purpose.

Stephen Craven has been treated like some sort of leper for telling the truth. Jim Farry having the power he did even admitted to delaying the signing of Gorge Cadette to prevent Celtic from winning points, Gordon Smith, a joke with zreo credentials but a Rangers background, was made President of the SFA.

Then to cap it all, Mr. McLeish compiled a report telling why Scottish football is going nowehere and there has been evert step possible taken to delay or ignore his recommendations and findings.

Revenge is the order of the day against Celtic, and all because they wanted justice. The Bunnet knew how to handle this lot, as did Big Stein. Lennon can’t. One thing that you can count on this week before the old firm game is something will happen to take Lennon’s eye of the ball.

I say let’s win this thing against all odds. Rangers woes are not our problem anymore.

OMG the paranoia from my fellow Celtic fans gets more embrassing with every article.

Does it never stop? Maybe if we put the same effort into supporting our team and club as we do into being offended and paranoid we would be some force!

There is no agenda, there is no conspiracy.

    Grow up ffs.

This persecution complex is what makes us a laughing stock.

    FTH
    Hail Hail

and where exactly is this ‘paranoia’ Liam.

    Look the word up Liam.

Is there something in this post that’s in some way delusional?

Is there some imaginary content that I’m missing?

Are we all imagining that Lenny’s been banned for SIX, yes count them, SIX matches.

Are we all imagining that this is an unprecedented ban, and that such a ban has NEVER been handed out to ANY Scottish football manager EVER for a first offence?

Has Peat made his feelings toward Celtic a secret?

Has he not been mouthing off to the rags about the club.

Is the sectarian element within the SFA only fictional amongst the Celtic support?

Were Dallas’ sectarian e-mails imaginary, why did dallas resign Liam.

What did Craven say about the set up at the SFA?

Was he speaking for Celtic when he spoke about being “bullied” and “harassed” by Dallas and Co?

It’s not about being “offended” Liam, and if you seriously think it is you’re missing the entire point!

I can see only one “laughing stock” here Liam, and if you think that it’s Celtic , find yourself another team to support, because at the moment you’re not supporting Celtic.

Feckin’ laughing stock? You sir are an a**e!!

    Liam,

So DougieDougiegate, Dallasgate and Farrygate (apologies for all the ‘gates’ there, like some tawdry tabloid header) didn’t actually happen then and us loonies imagined the whole thing?

  • Stevie says:

Well said Max although I feel there are lots of Celtic fans who feel as Liam does.

George Peat is blatantly anti Celtic in his actions.

So to all Celtic fans wake up and smell the coffee.

Celtic FC should go down the road of being discriminated against there are laws to guard against this lets have our day in court because the evidence exists.

Celtic seem to me to be putting all there trust in Stewart Regen implementing change within the SFA which will be a difficult task.

It’s a pity that the boycott never got off the ground because the Celtic support basically are keeping the SPL and the Scottish game financially alive.
