Treble joy for Marc Crosas

|

Marc Crosas Celtic newsMarco Crosas probably didn’t know too much about Volga three months ago but the former Celt’s new club are sitting proudly at the top of the Russian league today.

The twitter bhoy helped Volga to a 3-0 home win against Dinamo Moscow yesterday to put the newly promoted club into top spot after three games.

Rubin Kazan and champions Zenit St Petersburg are in action today knowing that a win would put them on top but that won’t detract from Volga’s impressive start to the season.

Crosas has played the full 90 minutes in all three matches since moving from Celtic and as usual was on twitter to share his delight with yesterday’s events.

“Played 90 min again, won 3-0 against Dynamo Moscow and Dundee Utd beat Rangers..seriously #ijustcantgetenough,” he tweeted yesterday.

Crosas added this morning:“Right now FCVolga CelticFC and FCBarcelona Top of the league!!!” he tweeted this morning.

Aiden McGeady made his first domestic appearance of the season for Spartak Moscow but was unable to prevent them from going down 3-1 to FK Kubam Krasnodar.

Sparak’s only league win was at home to Volga last week although they have been in impressive form in the Europa League eliminating Basel and Ajax.

On Thursday Spartak are back in European League action- away to competition favourites Porto.

Craig Brown faces Hampden ban.
