Henrik Larsson's promotion target for LBoIS

|

Henrik Larsson Celtic newsHenrik Larsson has targeted promotion to the Allsvenskan for Landskrona BoIS in his second season in management.

After getting into a promising position last season a disappointing finish saw LboIS ended up in fifth place six points behind Sundsvall who claimed a play-off place finishing third behind Syrianska and Norrkoping who were automatically promoted.

LBoIS start their Superettan campaign at home to Varnamo tonight with the King of Kings focussed on taking his side into the top flight .

“Given that we were close to a Premier Division place last year we are obviously chasing one of the top three spots,” the 242 goal former Celt admitted.

“We are starting the new season from scratch and will have to work hard to achieve anything, when you work hard that earns you the right to play good football and the squad are aware of that.

“Almost the entire squad from last season is still here. They have played for a year together and hopefully our game is second nature to them and we want to develop more as a team.

“We spent some time in Portugal preparing for the season and now it’s finally here.

“I’ve got more experience as a manager, last season I was maybe a bit naive in some situations but I’ve corrected that although in the end it’s still what the guys do on the pitch that counts.

“I hope that we can play good, attractive football which is successful and gives the people of Landskrona something to enjoy.”
