Incredible comment from Rangers chairman Alastair Johnston

|

Rangers chairman Alastair Johnston has made an amazing confession in the midst of takeover speculation surrounding the club.

Asked about a tax demand raised by HMRC Johnston admitted that: ‘there could be a judgement that the club can’t pay.’

That admission could have a devastating effect of Craig Whyte’s takeover plans.

The official Rangers website is carrying an interview with Johnston in which he claims that the takeover could be decided ‘one way or another in the next couple of days’.

With negotiations at a delicate stage between Whyte and Sir David Murray about the sale of a controlling block of shares Johnston revealed that the club may be unable to pay off a claim by HMRC.

The Ibrox chairman admitted: “It’s like a gorilla in the room and you don’t know what its appetite is.”

When asked if Rangers could go bust, he replied: “The reality is there is a possibility that there could be a judgement that the club can’t pay.”

A gorilla in the room! Was wonderin what happened to Derek Johnstone since he chucked Radio Clyde. Judging by his previous so-called insider info ramblings on clyde 1 about the takeover, they should know what his appetite is anyway, cos they have been feeding him enough shite.

Does anyone feel the same way as I do about this forever on going saga about a football club that has been a blot on the world of sport and fair play for over a century, and the concern about what is going to happen to the rat infested place called Ibrox if they cant find a mug to bail them out.

Best thing for all concerned would be that it was put into liquidation and then bulldozed the land sanitized and deloused and a home for the homeless and needy built on the land and in that way something good would come out of something rotten and then we could all get on with life.

with this tax case rangers might actually have to take some responsibility for their actions for the first time in their history, there is no honest mistake referee, bias and sympathetic press, sfa or politicians to bail them out of this one, the politicians and press have put pressure on loyds bank to tread carefully but that won’t work in this instance ,the tax man has no interest in arse licking a football club and letting them off lightly because they would be setting a dangerous example if they did and they will treat rangers just as harshly as they do everyone else. im delighted rangers will be treated like everyone else in scotland for once, let them know and feel what its like to face up to reality, a reality that everyone else rightly has to learn as a child and live with, its called CHOICE AND CONSEQUENCE!!
