Marcus Fraser goal beats Ajax and books final place

|

Marcus Fraser Celtic newsGoal-den Bhoy Marcus Fraser was the Celtic hero with the goal against Ajax that takes Danny McGrain’s side into the final of the Hong Kong Sevens.

After the match ended goal-less both teams were reduced to four-a-side with Fraser coming up with the goods preventing the match going to another penalty shoot-out.

It’s been quite a month for Fraser who picked up an SFA Youth Cup winners medal as a substitute in the 2-1 Hampden win over Rangers.

On Monday night he was in the thick of the action helping Celtic to a 1-0 win over Rangers in the Glasgow Cup.

If Neil Lennon needs a lucky omen for next week’s Scottish Cup final he could do worse than call in Marcus!

Celtic’s final opponents will be local side Kitchee who defeated Rangers and Liverpool to reach the final.

CELTIC SQUAD: Nick Feely, Joe Chalmers, Marcus Herron, John Herron, Liam Gormley, Paul George, Greig Spence, Rhyms Williamson

Hearts avoid apologising to Neil Lennon

Superb stuff from the young guns…..hopefully just the start of more silverware coming our way

From what I’ve seen of this season’s u-17s we have a few very special talents.

Marcus Fraser, John Herron and Joe Chalmers are all old way beyond their years and show great leadership qualities as well as ability.

Paul George is a very talented player, can play on either flank or through the middle.

Hopefully they will continue their progress through the 19s next season and be getting very close to the first team in twelve months time.

  • Tom says:

They lost in the final 1-0.
