Is this advert for Venky’s chicken the worst ever to involve footballers?
Cha Du-Ri and Ki Sung-Yeung have made a few howlers in recent times but this effort to promote both Blackburn Rovers and Venky’s to the emerging Indian market is something else.
Blackburn boss Stevie Kean has made a number of trips to Venky’s HQ since taking over from Sam Allerdyce but has yet to appear in a company commercial.
The reaction of the Rovers player to the advert will be interesting but since most of them are picking up seven figure salaries they aren’t going to be too bothered about the club’s latest venture.
Rovers midfielder David Dunn certainly looks like he enjoyed himself, it’s not known how many takes they required to get the ad just right.
Former Rangers favourite El-Hadji Diouf appears to have missed out on the finger lickin fun..
