Evander Sno RKC news Former Celtic midfielder Evander Sno has signed a one year contract with Dutch First Division side RKC Waalwijk.

The 24-year-old hasn’t played a competitive match since suffering a heart-attack during a reserve match last year and saw a deal to move to Genoa fall through on medical grounds.

Sno said: “I want to continue my career and develop as a player. The main thing is that I’m playing football again.

“I want to show people that I can still play and to enjoy my football, I’ve watched RKC in two matches and they are a good side. Now I want to get back to full fitness and make this a positive move in my career.

RKC coach Ruud Brood said: “Evander is a powerful midfielder with good experience of playing at big clubs despite his age.

“He wants to get his career going again on the field and we’re delighted to give him that chance.”

Sno made 49 appearances for Celtic under Gordon Strachan and was a regular in the 2006/07 Champions League side that reached the last 16 of the competition.
