Emilio Izaguirre Celtic news Emilio Izaguirre could be playing again for Celtic in November.

The full-back was expected to be out of action for four to six months after breaking his ankle at Aberdeen on August 7.

According to a report in Honduran newspaper La Tribuna Izaguirre had the ankle operated on successfully last week and is hoping to resume full training in 25 days.

La Tribuna reported: “That according to the medical, Emilio Izaguirre be returning to the play within two months, news that has fallen on the coaching staff welcomed, especially for coach Neil Lennon.”

The report also claims that Celtic have opened talks to improve the defenders contract.

Who are we trying to kid here ? Is this a leak from the FC to placate us ? NOONE comes back from a break and surgery in 3 months – at least not to professional football. If this kid returns to training 25 days after surgery then his career will last about another 3 minutes on the pitch before we see him wheeled back to a shack in the Honduran jungle to live out his days surrounded by yellowed newspaper clippings.

Utter rubbish Celtic !!!! – GO SIGN SOME PLAYERS THAT CAN FILL IN AT A PROFESSIONAL LEVEL – DO WHAT OTHER PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL CLUBS DO AND HAVE A DECENT REPLACEMENT ON THE BENCH IN THE EVENT OF INJURY. HAVE PLAYERS WITH SOME BOTTLE.
If feckin Genk can progress and you can’t – with a global support and 50 + thousand in your stadium and a “team” of internationals then there is something dreadfully wrong.

Your scouting, your training, your board and your management are all to blame. The 8 or 9 pretenders you have continually placed on the pitch for the last 3 or 4 years (Paddy McCourt aside of course)have given more lucklustre performances than every Celtic team combined in the last 30 years (and yes, this does include the days of the R”####rs 9 in a row).

this is not an issue of “get the finger out” anymore. This is chronic and insidious – you sign FF when Zaluska can do just as good a job at letting the one shot he needs to save per game in. You don’t really sign anyone of consequence and then let us know that we are heading into Europe with Dan Mastronovic at the back ??? The guy is the worst centre back in Scotland – at any rate he’s not CELTIC CLASS. And Samaras – are you f##cking joking ?
    THIS RANT WILL CONTINUE

Agree with a lot of this but pleeeaase….stop the Paddy McCourt crap. The guy has un-beleivable skill and an ability to go past players that is uncanny, but pleeeaase stop. Paddy cannot turn it on for 90 minutes end of. Paddy cannot do it time and time again. At best he is an impact player. Yes, give him more than the pathetic 9 minutes he was given on Sunday. Use him in games like Sunday, where the opposition have 10 behind the ball stung out along the edge of the box. Or like Pittodrie on the opening weekend. He had his jacket off when Stokes scored, only to be seen putting it back on again and sitting on the bench. Good player, but no more than a squad man at best.

Hope its true but really cant see him back in the 1st team till Jan-Feb.
    Get Well Soon Izzy.
    HAIL HAIL!

  • colin garvey says:

think Izzy will be in light training around Christmas, New Year time at best even if he isn’t don’t think Celtic will rush him

  • johnd says:

Absolutely meaningless. Who cares? He will be gone before January if that is the case why would he want to play here? I will be very surprised if both Kayal and Ki are still at Celtic Park by the 31st. I have travelled across Britain and Europe and tonight is the worst I have felt in 40 years of supporting Celtic. I feel we are finished. The only joy I had was watching Rangers fail. I always said I was Celtic and only Celtic but now I am just against Rangers. Enough!

  • johnd says:

Sorry. Have any of you just watched the latest Celtic game? Mc Court is being mentioned! The guy scores against St Mirren! Hopefully on Sunday. He is shyte! Get your heads out of your backsides tonight is the worst night in Celtics’ history for 20 or more years. Please tell me everything isn’t Ok because the gers went out. Garbage.
