Intrepid Video Celts reader Mike Bhoyle managed to get an exclusive behind the scenes look at Celtic’s convincing 3-0 victory away to Sion.
Despite comfortably winning the first leg 3-0 Neil Lennon was taking no chances in the return match and fielded his strongest side.
Any fears of an upset were quickly dispelled when Daniel Majstorovic put Celtic in front with Mike delivering a blow by blow report of the action from Sion’s picturesque Tourbillon Stadium.
Mike reports: “I was at the away game….3-0 doesn’t do us justice …we were awesome.
“From the minute Big Dan headed us in front from a Fraser Forster cross I knew we were on our way….this was quickly followed by Anthony Stokes being unselfish and giving the ball to GaryHooper to stroke home after Stokes had beaten the entire Sion team ….
“Finally Sammi got his reward for a tremendous display at centre-back …it started with him heading the ball onto his own crossbar…spinning round …and as the ball dropped onto his own 18 yard line …he smashed it on the volley the entire length of the pitch …and into the Sion keeper’s top left hand corner….
“What a night …what a victory….what a load of twaddle….”
Many thanks to Mike for sharing his matchday experience.
