Ally McCoist Rangers newsAlly McCoist has promised to play no part in making any Rangers player redundant.

Administrators Duff and Phelps look certain to implement major cuts this week with both the playing and coaching staff greatly reduced.

Gordon Smith and Ali Russell were axed last week with the guessing game underway as to which players will be made redundant.

McCoist’s own job could be under threat alongwith assistants Kenny McDowall and Ian Durrant but as the public face of the club the Ibrox boss has stated that he won’t have any role to play in job losses.

“My understanding is that I will meet with Paul Clark, from the administrators Duff and Phelps, whenever he wants and I imagine it will be early on in the week about what he thinks is the way ahead for Rangers,” McCoist said before today’s win at Inverness Caley Thistle.

“Morally, I should not and will not be judge and jury over anyone’s future. Having said that, I will help the administrators 100% in any way I can.

“Every conversation I have had with Paul Clark and Simon Shipley of Duff and Phelps has been positive.

“They seem to be knowledgeable and respectful of the size and sensitivity of the job. Hopefully we will sit down in the next day or two and things will become clearer.”

After the match the Rangers manager added: “It’s the administrator that will tell me what is happening. I think that is quite important to point that out.

“I’m part of the staff that is under the rule of the administrator. I’m no different other than I’m higher up the pecking order in terms of getting information passed to me.

“Paul Clark from Duff and Phelps has been great, it’s ironic to use the word productive about meetings with administrators, but they have been.

“I would certainly expect to have more in the next couple of days.”

  • How many ‘productive’ discussions did you have with T B before today’s kick off, Ally? What a production line, you smooth talker, you are. Or is it a*** licker more like?

Sounds very much like buck passing Sally…..even though YOUR job may be one of those to go. As manager it is YOUR responsibility to look after ALL team matters. So don’t walk away, satnd up and be counted 🙂

Don’t expect many surprises anyway, those out of contract / loan will be shunted out first

Bartley – Papac – Healy – Little – Kerkar etc

Laffatme is out of contract in a year, currently injured again – so might be a candidate, cut the losses and a big earner.

Management will also come under scrutiny I expect
Sally – Durrant – McDowell 3 men to run one team….someone surely will get their jotters.

Anyway with the news about double contracts, Rangers will have much more to worry about if now proved to have LIED to the SFA / SPL & UEFA by fielding ineligible players.

Blue Knights riding to the rescue, looks like they need Blue Nuns 🙂

What does Fat Sally think his role is as a manager. I have had to do this in the past when reducing a team size in my work. My brother was forced to select people from his team last week when his company was down-sizing.

It’s part of his job and if he’s not up to it he should go. Who else is in a position to determine the best people to let go in the playing squad?

    Man-up or walk away fatso!

So craig whyte has been tracked down to an apartment in monaco.or is it the brothel hately is reportedly frequenting.if it is he has somthing in common with the dirt that support the former buisness he owned.only they`ve been paying to get humped` YOU WIN AGAIN CRAIG.

Don’t walk away from your responsibilities Sally, man up and do the job you are being paid to do. Some of these players have worked with you for 5 years, and you’re going to let them be told they are getting the boot by some random bloke/woman? Very dignified.

And while you are at it, there are a few players who need to be told the Tainted Titles and trophies they “won” are now worthless!

Can’t wait till the TAXMAN starts knocking on the doors of the r*ngers players who have sold their soul over the last ten years or so.

All the clowns who are are currently talking up scotlands shame should start to be worried.

I was starting to feel a little bit sorry for the shame (due to not being dragged up) but after hearing the shame’s support again, god bless the wall they’re gonna hit!!

As someone who will never forget the look on your face when you turned away from NL knowing you had just got him an extended ban my idea of perfect Karma if that you – smirkey – who doesn’t do walking away are forced to break the bad news to
Bartley,Kerkar,Healy,Papac etc. Then you are kept out of the loop when Duff and Phelps sell Davis, McGregor,Naismith and Whittaker. Finaly, you and Durantti are SACKED.

  • jimmibhoy says:

PS Lovely photo. Where’s your smirk now

  • Tony says:

It’s Fat Sallys job to to decide on his playing staff/backroom. If he is not up to it the go join HMS Diginity/Titanaic. Let them die

  • Krys says:

I would suggest McCoist himself should be cut then. If he’s not prepared to make the tough managerial decisions – and that’s what this is when it boils down to it – then he’s just falsely taking a wage under the pretence of being a “manager”.

  • johnp says:

What a gutless, fat clown. This is the very definition of ‘walking away’. His first real management task to perform for the Rangers PLC (in administration) and he runs away and hides in his office letting a London accountant make the decision and then break the news to the players that they are finished. Can you imagine the reaction of the rags if a Celtic manager made such a cowardly comment. Pie-eating yellow rat. Sack yourself you sack of s**t.

  • mick f says:

Hopefully they’ll cut back the money for shirts & ties coz Sally is turning into Dick Advocat very quickly, that & he also looks like a prat in it.
