Romanov attacks SFA over Rangers problems

Vladimir Romanov Hearts newsVladimir Romanov has hit out at the leniency shown to Rangers by the Scottish football authorities.

Nine months after buying out Sir David Murray for £1 Stewart Regan revealed yesterday that the SFA hadn’t been able to get any information from Whyte’s legal team to perform a fit and proper test.

While the SFA sat on their hands Whyte failed to pay income tax and national insurance to HMRC resulting in Tuesday’s move to put the club into administration.

In December Hearts were threatened with sanctions from the SPL about non-payment of wages but other than a 10 point deduction for administration the SPL appears uninterested in the non-payment of income tax from one member club whilst other clubs cut their costs dramatically to stay in business.

Hearts will see a fraction of the £800,000 that they are owed from Rangers for the transfer of Lee Wallace with Romanov pointing the blame at the authorities for allowing the crisis at Ibrox to develop.

“The bankruptcy of Rangers shows again how insolently and arrogantly operate the Scottish football mafia,” the Lithuanian claimed.

“They stole taxpayers’ money, violating the rules of honest competition between the clubs. And for that were not even stripped of second place in the league table.

“And it was all happening while they desperately wanted to push Hearts into bankruptcy through the tax authorities and the league. They plotted conspiracies in our club and tried to spread panic.

“But in fact they needed all this just to distract attention from their own dubious activities.”

Hearts are due to visit Rangers on March 3.

Romonov is spot on.Seems like there is a law for
them and another law for the rest of us.

    How true..

We now know the SFA have started an ongoing inquiry?

That should be interesting. The SFA sign off the accounts of all clubs? . All clubs who have good fortune by position in league (cup) and hope to enter EUFA competition.

My fear is that the SFA by having this inquiry now fear for their own arses..I am now aware that EUFA are closely watching proceedings in Scottish Football.
If the SFA in the future are found to be as bad as the other lot in govan where will that leave Celtic and other Scottish clubs who have played by the financial rules???

Recently we had that problem of Sion and the fielding of illegible players…
Most of us know that the Switzerland FA were threatened by a worldwide ban internationally and club. Of course as far as I’m aware actions taken allowed this not to happen. EUFA – FIFA

Back to Celtic… If the SFA in the future have been found to be cooking the books for THEM what punishment could be thrown at all Scottish Clubs.

Of course the Celts are my priority and always has been and will be.

Any Sports lawyer available in Celtic cyberspace?

    I don’t like the man but he’s 100% right

  • John D says:

its all more dung heaping up on THEM, the more the better as that means the authorities are more likely to do their job properly – knowing that there is so much evidence against THEM.

What a sordid horrible sesspit of a club and its disgusting the Scottish Football Authorities will probably bend over backwards to help them handshakes and all. Their crimes are worse than insolvency. It’s thieving fraudulent activities stretch back for years. I hope the culprits get the jail time they deserve.

  • well done vlad more need a to come out and speek there mind hail.hail

  • John paul says:

to true vlad !!! the SFA wont touch the people from mordor absolute disgrace whats happening at that vile club they shoudnt get away with it they owe money to spl clubs and they should get there money first or kick the scum out now !!!!

  • O'Cahan says:

David you are spot on… Mad Vad is maybe not so mad after all, they(SFA) don’t want to dig too deep, do they, because if they do and the articles and rules have been broken or maybe just relaxed to little, to help the bigotdome.
Then the shit will hit the fan, all sorts of “honest mistakes” will be uncovered.
For one, Rangers should not have been allowed into European Competition this season.
It gets better all the time, how come the ruling body(SFA)state that they tried to get information from Rangers PLC 2012 concerning Whyte, but were told bluntly more or less to “fcuk away off” unbeliveable.
Who runs Scottish football the SFA or Rangers PLC 2012????
All Hoops fans already know the answer to that!!”

Come on EUFA / FIFA get the shovels out.

    Keep the Faith

What really , really gets me about the audacity of this total embarrassment of a football club is the way that they stand on their pillars of pride by parading British troops , take all the glory, condemn Celtic for not supporting them. All the time we and every other honest law abiding , tax paying business are the ones who ACTUALLY PAY FOR THE BRITISH ARMED FORCES….. They truly are the scum of world football!

  • Hoops-n-SC says:

Unfortunately, Vlad is no different from Chicken Little when he continually screamed out the sky was falling.

Because of his history, everyone’s going to ignore him now because of the previous comments that made him look like an idiot.

  • bhoylondon67 says:

It’s ok Vlad, don’t let them you get you down, you now own the 2nd biggest club in Scotland.

  • Ciaran says:

It appears “Mad” Vlad and our own Neil Lennon are the only 2 people in the whole of Scottish football with the courage to speak their mind. Not just churn out the same old party line, “too big, institution, blah, blah, blah”

  • Jimmy G says:

I have said this since the tax case broke we got slaughtered for Poppygate yet they get away with defrauding the very thing they sing about god save the queen and she shuts them but 50 Million in Taxes buys a lot of self defence . Shame on you Rangers and the Media for not highlighting this scandal.

  • JoeG says:

Sure, Vlad has a point, but don’t let him deflect your focus from them either. They are the second most bigoted outfit in the country and surprise!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They have also been cheating on their revenues. Sure, the SFA tried to have everyone take their eye off the ball and to give them some credit, succeeded to a point. The SFA are scrambling because they are in cover up mode. Their corrupt ways have been outed and they are in a quandry. Who do they protect first? Rangers? The SFA? Themselves? Oh wait, does it matter to them? Nope. They shafted the citizens who do pay their taxes, and make no mistake, they will escape this too, as will Hearts!
