John Kennedy Celtic newsJohn Kennedy won’t tolerate any complacency from his u-19 squad when Celtic face Inverness in Dingwall today, kick-off 1.30pm.

Three weeks ago the hoops beat the Highland side 6-1 at Lennoxtown with defender Curtis Jones pitching in with an unexpected hat-trick.

Caley Thistle have taken just two points all season long but Kennedy insists that they’ll be given every respect by his side.

“I watched them against St Mirren two weeks ago and they were quite unlucky that day,” the Celtic coach explained.

“They lost 2-0 but created a few chances and could have taken something from the match. There’s a good spirit and determination about them and they’ll be looking forward to this match.

“Every match is difficult, especially away from home and our approach has to be spot on every time- the players know that.

“We’ll have breakfast at Celtic Park then stop off at Inverness for a stretch and pre-match meal.

“The players all know how important the match is, we have to keep on winning to put the pressure on Hearts.

“Our last two games have been very tight but in the end we’ve come up with the goods with late goals from Tony Watt and Filip Twardzik.

“It would be nice to get an early goal today but we’ll have to earn anything that we get from the match.”

Hearts are seven points ahead of Celtic having played two games more, tomorrow they travel to meet St Mirren.

Come on the young guns…..pile the pressure on Hearts and I am sure we can take the title. Think they finish with an away game v Hibs too so plenty to play for yet.
