Rabui Ibrahim Celtic newsNeil Lennon will take another look at Rabiu Ibrahim over the last two games of the season.

The Nigerian midfielder was a late substitute against St Johnstone in midweek and showed a good awareness for the game and an eye for a pass.

Ibrahim joined Celtic in January after spells at PSV Eindhoven and Sporting Lisbon with Lennon keen to see more of the slightly built midfielder.

“I was really happy with Ibrahim,” the Celtic boss admitted.

“He got a goal taken off him by Gary Hooper, who was offside. I’ll be fining Gary for that!

“But I was very pleased with his contribution over 20 minutes. Hopefully we will get him some more game time between now and the end of the season.”

Lennon was also pleased by the return of Mo Bangura in his first appearance of 2012.

The hoops boss added: “I was really pleased with Bangura on Thursday night, really pleased with him.

“He has been hampered by the knee injury, he has had the surgery and his rehab went well.

“While he probably got a bit tired towards the end against St Johnstone, it was understandable.

“But he looked really fresh and I thought his link-up play was good, particularly in the first half.”

Ibrahim looks like he could be a fantastic player. Very quick on the ball with a great eye for a pass & constantly looks for space. High hopes for him.

Bangura gets too much stick from the support. The guy I was sitting next to at the game wouldn’t shut up about how bad he was. I thought he played well & was unlucky not to get a goal. He has been injured most of the season & some people have judged him on his 10 minute sub appearances. Give the guy time to show what he can do.

Ibrahim looks a real find, and lets give bangura a real chance, unfortunately the guy with no patience that paul encountered is without doubt not alone but mo is not match fit,and I have seen enough to convince me he is worth sticking with.Remember henrik and his first three games?.

In Lennon we trust. Now we have relaxed it is nice to give all the new comers a run out and think that with all the out goings these guys will be given a chance to shine both now and especially at the start of next season. We are beginning to get the right balance of battlers and creative players, and just need to add a commanding centre half and a bustling striker. At least we have the luxury of being able to buy and sell!

I would like to see Bangura played in the role of attacking midfielder just behind stokes and hoops with sammy on the left commons on the right and wanyama and ledley holding with mulgrew wilson and rogne at the back I think this is the best for home games and allows system changes throughout the game to deal with the opposition
