Late winner delights Larsson

|

Henrik Larsson Celtic newsAn 88th minute goal from Frederick Liverstam put a smile on Henrik Larsson’s face as LBoIS squeezed past Assyriska 3-2 at home on Thursday night.

After losing both of their opening matches in the Superettan campaign LBoIS have taken seven points from their last three matches to move into the top half of the table.

LBoIS had been two up at half-time but despite losing that lead Larsson was pleased with the spirit and attitude his side showed to win the points in the closing minutes.

“Battle-wise it was definitely the best game of the year,” the former Celtic striker admitted.

“We were good in the first half then became too cautious after the break with our lead but I’m incredibly proud of the way we battled back to win the points.”

LBoIS next match is the derby match away to Angelholm on Thursday with the supporters bus leaving Sir Henry’s Sports Bar an hour and a half before kick-off.
