Charles Green newsFIVE former Rangers players have joined forces to urge fans not to buy Sevco season tickets and have brought in Donald Findlay to take control of the newco from Charles Green.

The dramatic move came last night after four more players announced that they wouldn’t transfer to Newco and the SFA told Green to have his membership application in place by Friday.

Former Ibrox defender John Brown claims to have an international consortium of investors ready to pump money into a new club bur makes his distrust of Green crystal clear after quitting his scouting role at the club.

“We want to say to the fans don’t buy your season tickets as we fear money is going to go in and then disappear,” Brown told The Sun. “That’s what happened under Craig Whyte and look where we are today.

“The fear of that money disappearing is a very real one for us. So this morning I say show us the title deeds, who has keys to Ibrox?

“We want to get you out of our club, we’ll help the fans fund the takeover. That will ensure that no greedy man can ever do this to Rangers again.

“I urge the fans to get behind us, starve them of your money.”

Andy Goram, Lorenzo Amoruso, Jorg Albertz and Brian Laudrup have all given their support to Brown’s consortium which also includes former Celtic fan Stephen McKenna.

The question of who actually owns Ibrox Stadium and Murray Park has never been fully answered with some suggestions that Craig Whyte may still be in charge.

Whyte appointed Duff and Phelps as administrators in February with Green agreeing a cut price deal with the administrators for the assets after his CVA offer was rejected.

Brown added: “I am making this decision because I believe the regime in charge are not the true owners of the football club.

“They have documents under Sevco but we want to know whose name is on the title deeds for Ibrox, Murray Park and Albion car park. That’s the key to the future of our club.”

“Today we ask Charles Green: How much do you want for the club so we can put it into the hands of the Rangers family?”

Got to laugh at the leg ends coming out in support….while none of them even think about handing back the money that will ensure they lose all tainted trophies.

Donald Findlay, it just gets better….so much for a new start and ridding the club of sectarian bigotry…..they are actually going to get worse pandering to morons to appease ANYONE stupid enough to give them money.

  • pat says:

Hector must be looking at issuing letters to agree repayment plans for the £50million in LOANS paid out through the EBT’s.

The sooner they start recovering the taxpayers money the better.

  • Hevghirl says:

Forgive me if I’m wrong, but might not Donald Findlay be looked at as part of the SPL double contracts and police investigation? The SPL investigation has gone back to the start of the league in 1998 and Mr Findlay did not resign until 1999. Can he seriously be allowed to buy a club in the Scottish league whilst any criminal investigations are carried out?

  • Dougie says:

All these “guys” saying starve Rangers of your cash, put the club back in the hands of the Rangers family, Ive got a consortium of Rangers minded financial backers looking to back the club with bags full of wonga etc etc…

My question is, who is Rangers?! Im sure ive heard of them but up until now I thought they were just guys who patrolled a wild life park… Are these “guys” just monkeying about?

    HH!

Brown, Goram, Albertz, Laudrup, Amoruso AND DONALD FINDLAY, a proven racist sectarian bigot, ‘to take control of the Newco from Charles Green’!!!!

Is this the first ever recorded instance of rats actually invading a sinking ship??

  • This is no doubt where the EBTs pay off, I guess. And with this infamous list it really is back to square one, if not two and three. They will invest in it all right. Right up their knees in ………………mm

  • JoeG says:

These ex-players are doing exactly what we’d want our ex-players to do in the same situation. The problem is, they each have a corrupt past with their involvement in the EBT scheme.
As for findlay, well, eneough said. he is the most corrupt and bigoted of all.
The certainly want rid of Green, thats for sure. But the way they are trying to shift the blame onto Craig Whyte blows me away. Are they really that stupid that they believe he brought an affluent organization to their knees in a year? He bought a mess. If the mess wasn’t there to begin with, Murray wouldn’t have been so desparate to jump ship for a quid! This is not Whyte’s mess, it isn’t Green’s mess. The mess started years ago when the SFA were glad to turn a blind eye to the corruption that was rangers. They ignored it for years. Their current President was actually a participant of it all. The anger being shown by these ex-players and fans of the old rangers is really at the old club, but they are being typical of the ostrich by sticking their heads in the sand, or up their butts!

    • MaxX says:

I agree JoeG, I’m reading lot about White facing criminal charges over his purchase of Benefit Cheats fc, but were is the investigation into Murray?
You would think that any criminality in any transaction of this sort would involve both the buyer and the seller.
Murray’s still got the LL firmly in his back pocket.

  • dombhoy67 says:

I think that its only a matter of time before the law catches up with Sir Tainted Murray after all the paper chase leads right to his door so its only a matter of when. As for Donald bigot Findlay, I know that he makes a fortune advocating legal lost causes but this must be the ultimate dead beat of all. Anyway, how can he have anything to do with Sevco f.c,I thought he was the Chairman of Cowdenbeath F.C or as they used to be known Cowdenbeath Rangers! Isn’t there a conflict of interest here or is it a brother thing!
