Charles Green newsTrue Blue Charlie Green has found love in the air of Govan but won’t sell Sevco shares until the club clears it’s debts.

A month ago supporters groups were falling over themselves to warn fans about the dangers of giving Green any money.

Ibrox legend John Brown was cheered loudly as he told a 10,000 strong rally of fans that they should starve Green out of Ibrox unless he gets to see the title deeds.

One rallying call by Green before the Ramsdens Cup tie at Brechin has brought thousands onside as the Yorkshireman won the hearts of disillusioned fans with the soundbites in full flow over the last three weeks.

In keeping with the history of the oldco he has even adopted the Daily Record as his favoured organ telling readers this morning: “I have a lot of feeling for Rangers now.

“I am starting to feel something now and get an attachment for Rangers. I never wanted to get attached to the club but I have found that is different now.

“If I am being entirely honest, when I first started to get involved, I probably didn’t understand the level of responsibility of the club and its success and ‘istory. This was a ‘uge club with a great ‘eritage.

“I didn’t know too much about it all until I set foot through the front doors – but I definitely do now.

“I still want to make money on transactions but I don’t want to take any money out of Rangers and abuse this position, like has been done in the past. I don’t want to leave without making this club great again.”

Despite his new found love Green has kept the identity of his investers close to his chest.

Claims of having £30m sitting in the bank account by the end of July failed to materialise with Ally McCoist shopping in the Bosman market for players out of contract.

A share issue for supporters has also been mentioned but as ever with the straight talking Yorkshireman the details are a little vague.

He added: “We have said all along that we would welcome money to make this club great again.

“We had to get to the stage of paying all the debts before bringing in investors and floating the club on the stock market.

“We are putting this club on the stock market so there will be the chance for fans to buy shares as well.

“There will be more investors coming in and we are offering the chance to fans to get involved as well.”

The Govan Messiah! Let’s give him all our money.

I think a lot of people are going to find out soon that Charlie’s not the Messiah; he’s just a very naughty man.

Its definitely the case that Rangers has an appeal, generates a fan loyalty, more than any other club, certainly any other Scottish club. Exciting and enjoyable times ahead for CG! Good Luck to him!

You used the word “fan” in your first sentence, but I think the word you were looking for was “knuckle-dragger”.

How can the SFa do a fit and proper persons test on the billionaires lining up to sink thei cash into Sevco if Charlie boy won’t tell them who they are. Is the guy wanted by Interpol still involved. Remember fans of the Oldco said that the SFA were at fault for not vetting Whyte. Is it all just about to happen again?

    • GSW says:

I think you’re worrying unnecessarily john. For example, Mike Ashley is coming on board and it’s been reported that the SFA have given approval as long as he has no more than a 10% stake as he has an existing interest in NU. So it would seem that the SFA are being involved as the new “billionaire” investors come close signing to the agreements with the club.

[Sevco fan GSW treats every word in the Record as gospel]

GSW I’ve got some snake how many bottles would you like.
To fool some of the people some of the time very clever but to fool all of the orcs all of the time genius.

Craig Whyte could still be the main person behind all this with him owning a company that owns a company that owns a company that has investment in Sevco and therefore will be getting 8% above the baserate in interest from the investment.

Interest play with words from Charlie Green with regards to him selling shares to make money. Sevco are committed to paying their “investors” the interest and so money will definitely be taken out of the club. Money paid in by the new Sevco fans that is. Green on the other hand all along stated that he is to receive £2million in shares for his part in relieving the new club of the interest payments and as he said when he sells his shares will get his bounty. Only problem for Charlie is that it is all a big gamble. He believes he will get his money on the sale of the shares but Sir Minty Moonbeams tried before to sell shares in the Liquidated club to the loyal fans and they declined in their hoards. And if they don’t buy the shares then Charlie gets nothing. All his hard work and pledges of loyalty to the peeple down the drain.

All that Green is doing is using the Instruction Manual for anyone who runs Ibrox. Page 4 section B, just under How To Avoid Paying Debts. It clearly states, “just tell them you will not take a penny from the club, they will believe anything”.
