Craig Brown Aberdeen newsSevco target Ryan Fraser has signed for League One high flyers Bournemouth.

Craig Brown was disappointed when the 18-year-old turned down a new contract at Aberdeen with the winger instantly linked with a move to Ibrox.

STV compiled a list of over 150 SPL players who’ll be out of contract in the summer and able to sign for Sevco on September 1 when the transfer embargo negotiated with the SFA expires.

Despite the lure of a move to Ibrox Fraser has joined the cherries in a £400,00 deal that also offers Aberdeen a proportion of any sell on fee.

Announcing the deal Dons boss Craig Brown said: “My reaction is disappointment that we are losing him. He seemed anxious to go and he was advised that his future was elsewhere.

“When that became apparent we resigned ourselves to the fact that we were losing him. We wish him all the best as a young player.

“In spite of the fact that I would have liked to have had him here and that it might have been better for his development here, he has elected to go there and there is not anything you can do about it really.”

Fraser joins another Sevco target, Jamie Murphy in League One wuith the former Motherwell striker moving to Sheffield United.

Following the Sevco share issue in December Ally McCoist was promised a £10m warchest to go into the transfer market which could rise to £30m depending on season ticket sales.

at least the lad has shown some common sense and ambition to sign for a club with some real history behind it… good luck to the boy!

The hun obsession on this blog is getting a bit tedious!

Its a bad day when Bournemouth can offer more money than aberdeen.

  • Buffythecat says:

Bournemouth F.C, a REAL club with REAL history, REAL ambition and REAL supporters. The Scottish Third Division holds no attraction to REAL footballers with any sense of propriety. Sums it up REALLY!

Seriously I’m done with this blog. Why don’t you change it’s name to Video Gers. Your obsession with them is pathetic!

Keep doing what you’re doing. These articles are very informative. Seriously, how many times and on how many different blogs can you read the same re-hashed Celtic stories?
@Mac & Deehan1888: It was a story about an Aberdeen player choosing to go to Bournemouth. He mentioned Sevco once, to let you know that the player was linked to Ibrox.
Get a life and stay on the Official Website if you don’t want news of any other players or any other club. Your constant whining is pathetic.

@IdahoBhoy: If it was just an innocent article regarding Aberdeen losing a player then why doesn’t the author post articles for every other SPL team that loses a player? The only reason this was posted was because Rangers have lost another transfer target. No other reason. The author has a complete obsession with them. As a Celtic fan, on a Celtic blog, I want news about Celtic. If I want to read about other teams transfer activity I will go on Sky Sports website.

You can always look elsewhere or close your eyes, or buy a newspaper if you like.

Over the weekend this site produced nine stories, two of them about Sevco, it seems that someone else is perhaps obsessed with them, plenty of variety to read on here.

I’ll continue to keep an eye on what Neil Armageddon Doncaster and Stuart Social Unrest Regan are getting upto after their cunning plans failed during the summer.

      • Deehan1888 says:

Trust me mate I will be looking elsewhere from now on.

I didn’t say you never post articles about Celtic but there is no need for the number of articles about Rangers. I want news about Celtic not Rangers so please explain how I am obsessed with them??

And I don’t have a problem with you keeping an eye on the SFA as I think we can all agree they are a joke. But like I said before I see no reason for the amount of articles about a third division team that have nothing to do with us.
