Juventus newsJuventus returned to form last night with a convincing 4-0 home win over Udinese.

Former Manchester United prospect Paul Pogba scored twice with further strikes from Mirko Vu?ini? and Alessandro Matri giving Juve their first win of 2013.

The victory opened up a five point gap for the Turin side at the top of Serie A with 19-year old Pogba staking his claim for a regular place with Andrea Pirlo missing the match through injury.in Antonio Conte’s side.

After the match the Juve Antonio Conte said: “Pogba has similar characteristics to Frank Rijkaard, and can still grow to become one of the world’s best in this role. Paul is the proof that talent can be brought to the fore when organisation is in place.

“Let’s not forget that he is only 19 years old, he needs experience and needs to challenged because he’s a player who sometimes tries to do it all on his own. If leaving Pogba out for the next match is a problem then I’m happy.

My players are working seriously without the injured players. We always place the team above individuals, and always had things under control tonight. Despite the many absentees, very few noticed thanks to the great performances by those who stepped in.”

Progba has a strained relationship with Alex Ferguson during his time at Old Trafford with the United boss troubled by the midfielders attitude.

After hearing of his move to Juve Ferguson said: “Pogba signed for Juventus a long time ago as far as we’re aware. It’s a bit disappointing because I don’t think he showed us any respect at all.

“To be honest, if they carry on that way, I’m quite happy that he’s away from me anyway.

On Tuesday Juve face Lazio in the Italian Cup with the Rome side five points behind Juve in Serie A, sharing second place with Napoli.
