Ki Sung Yeung Celtic newsKi-Sung Yeung is the first Celt to reach Wembley after Swansea knocked Chelsea out of the Capital One Cup on a 2-0 semi-final aggregate.

After winning 2-0 at Stamford Bridge in the first leg the Welsh side cruised through to Wembley with a comfortable 0-0 home draw.

Chelsea never showed any real appetite for the match with Rafel Benitez’s side seeming to go through the motions without any real purpose.

The match is likely to be best remembered for a bizarre red card for Chelse’a Eden Hazard with ten minutes left to play.

The Belgian midfielder got involved with an over enthusiastic ball boy who refused to hand the ball back and fell to the ground clutching the ball. Hazard then took a kick at the ball with the boy requiring some treatment at the clock ticked away.

Amazingly referee Chris Foy flashed a red card at Hazard for an incident off the pitch with Chelsea’s slim hopes of Wembley finishing there and then.

Chelsea’s twitter account asked after the match: “Has football gone mad?”

Swansea used their one man advantage well to run down the clock even though six minutes of stoppage time were played.

Ki won a Scottish Cup winners medal with Celtic in 2011 and now has the chance to repeat that in the Carling Cup against fourth tier giant killers Bradford City.

Swansea have never won a major trophy at Wembley but now have the chance to make history in their centenary season under Danish manager Michael Laudrup.

Bradford reached the final thanks to a 4-3 aggregate win over Paul Lambert’s Aston Villa.
