Neil Lennon newsNeil Lennon has left Celtic’s Marbella training camp to spend two days with the elite of management.

The Celtic boss has been invited to St George’s Park, the FA’s highly praised coaching HQ, to meet and network with the biggest names in the game.

Alex Ferguson will host a dinner tonight attended by Fabio Capello and Jose Mourinho as part of an extensive exchange of ideas hosted by the League Managers’ Association in conjunction with the FA.

The list of managers down to attend is impressive so to be in among that is fantastic,” Lennon explained. “Capello, the majority of the Premiership managers and Mourinho is to be confirmed. Whether they all turn up or not I don’t know but it is the elite.

Just to be involved in that is brilliant and something I did not want to miss out on. It was an invitation through the League Managers’ Association. It is a real honour.

The likes of Brendan Rodgers and Roberto Martinez will be there so a few of the younger ones will be there too.

There are lectures during the day from other managers and people who organise ProZone and things. There is a lot to pick on and it can only be good for your base of knowledge.

There will be things that are relevant and others which are not. So it is a bit like doing your Pro Licence.

I will probably feel like the new boy, I think I’m older than Brendan so I won’t be the youngest, but in terms of experience I will probably the least experienced.

But going in with the Champions League to look forward to gives me that extra bit of stature.”

Yesterday at St George’s Park Celtic’s youth side beat Crystal Palace 2-1 with both goals coming from Patrik Twardzik.

    Neil Lennon deserves to in this group.He has proven himself as a successful manager.Neil has survived all that the laptop loyal media,militant Protestants and Rangers fans in general could do to try and scare him away but character and breeding was too strong.

    McCoist on the other hand is a failure and certainly has not acheived any success as a manager, McCoist has in fact become a joke the same as Sevco.Long may this worst manager ever for the disgraced DEAD Rangers continue to be there as”a fat sally joke” for Celtic fans

    Charles Green said that they (UEFA) pleaded with him to attend and were even prepared to send the official yellow UEFA car to pick him up – but he declined saying;

    ”nae chance of that lad…were too good to mix wit that shower o’ bigots!”

    There you have it straight fro the pantomime horses mouth.
