Stewart Regan has spoken out about Charles Green and praised the remarkable job his fellow Yorkshireman has done at Ibrox.
After an apparent vow of silence following a blundering summer in which he predicted social unrest if Green’s newco were put in the Third Division Regan has re-emerged backing plans for league reconstruction.
Those aims were immediately shot down by Green who said that he’d recommemd to his board of directors that they find a way out of Scottish football.
Green has been an outspoken critic of the football authorities and clubs but appears immune to censure from the SFA who are happy to charge managers like Kenny Shiels for the mildest of criticisms about officials.
“If you look at what Charles has managed to achieve, from where Rangers were and from him hiding out in hotels in Glasgow and being afraid, to where he is now, I think he’s done a remarkable job, quite honestly,” Regan told The Scotsman.
“He’s recognised that the way to get success is to play to a group of supporters that now idolise him. He’s actually worked out the secret of getting his fans on his side and that’s to be very outspoken, to be very challenging to the authorities, to be seen to be standing up for Rangers when nobody else would stand up for them and he’s turned the club around.
“Charles is not a big fan of the SFA and that’s probably because his fans aren’t. But, privately, sitting across a table, we get on fine.
“He’s an outspoken guy. He calls a spade a shovel and he’s not afraid to put his views across. Equally, I’ve had to defend the SFA on a number of issues over the last few months. We’ve disagreed on things.
“The SFA can’t be seen to be dealing with Rangers in one way and other members in another way and that frustrates Charles at times simply because of the profile of Rangers. Certain issues have caused differences of opinion. We’ve begged to differ.”
The Scotsman also claims that the SFA told the European Club Association that newco Rangers have the history and trophies of the oldco despite failing to publish audited accounts since June 2010 and going into liquidation during the summer.

I wonder if the SFA have told UEFA that Sevco still have the history of the old liquidated club? Somehow I doubt it. Regan is a fudd just like Green,Oxygen thieves the pair of them.

OF WHAT? where’s his praise for Lennon on that basis then? he actually WAS hiding from people who were trying to BOMB him, and now he’s managing a champions league team and gaining more respect everyday. I’d be surprised if you and Charlie, down there in YorkieLand, hadn’t on many occasions rolled up your trouser legs together. The whole Charlie versus the SFA affair has always had more than a whiff of stage management about it. By the way, if it was up to me, I’d tell you where to stick your ridiculuos new league set up. It’s being cobbled together and rushed through for one reason and one reason only- and I don’t mean for the good of Scottish football.
However, I expect that the new league cock-up is already a done deal between all the interested parties. The ragers impersonators will be back in the top league in another two years and the WATP subscribers can slap each other on the back for another couple of years until Scottish football disappears down the toilet. Regan is no doubt a fudd of the highest order, and points out a fact that all of us know to well. That Chuckles is pandering to his audience with his outspoken views, and quite frankly, LIES!
The fact that Regan is aware of it, but does nothing, seems to fly over his head, and further illustrates just how BIG a fudd he really is! He then goes on to say that across the table, he and Chucky get on fine. How can that be? Although thoroughly incompetant, Regan’s brief is to improve our game and prepare for the future. How can he get on fine with someone so prepared to do the opposite?…A pair of horrible, two faced slimeballs, that’s how!
As for him “turning the club around”. What rot! What he has done is moved in “cuckoo stylee” (in more ways than one) to a nest, abandoned by the previous vultures. Cull them both before their flu kills our game!

Regan is definately a bought man .He has demonstrated his weakness to manage on many occasions . About the comment on more Celtic stories . Sevco, SPL and the SFA interaction are the most important issues in Scottish Football for us and it is important that we the fans hear what is happening from reliable sources rather than the usual biased lackey media. So keep a close watch on these Yorkshire buddies.
Edward, It is impossible to truely keep an eye on them, so thick is the veil of secrecy. Even knowing what their game is, will alter nothing as can be seen by how much notice they took of the “fans survey”.
As far as I’m aware the result of this survey have not yet been published. It seems to me, it’s only purpose was as a guideline as to how much PR they would need to do, to implement what “they ” wanted. The only solution is to get shot of completely, …And the selection committee, whoever they are!

After waiting weeks for this clown to come out a say something about CGs outrageous slurs and rants and this is what he comes up with.
I was ready for walking out on the game I love last season if corruption managed to put a new club in the SPL/div.1 and it looks like it was just a delayed decision I have had to make .
It is now becoming clear as to the depth of the total corruption running through our game and I just can’t see any way back .
I have been puzzled as to why sevco 2012 have been condemning the SFA for persecuting them when all the evidence points to the contrary, now I know it’s all been an essential smokescreen to cover the level of corruption and smoke filled room deals done by those ruining our game.
