Green reveals he received payment from Whyte

|

Charlie GreenCharles Green has revealed that he received a £137,000 payment from Craig Whyte.

The ties between the two men were highlighted in The Sun today with Whyte serving notice that he intends taking Green to court for £50m.

Whyte claimed that he set up Sevco 5088 with Green as the front man then found out that the assets- Murray Park and Ibrox Stadium- had been transferred to Sevco Scotland without his consent.

Green had previously claimed that he had nothing to do with Whyte but in a lengthy club statement revealed that he was in regular contact with the former Motherwell billionaire and set up a special bank account for his would-be business partner.

“He said he wanted to invest and Imran said: ‘Okay, fine.,” Green revealed. “We need to come up with something like £6m each.’

“But there was never any possibility of him coming up with that kind of money. Imran knew that. I knew that but we went about the business of raising the cash.

“He was supposed to pay £25,000 for legal fees to the lawyers who would deal with the transfer of shares but his cheque bounced. Imran felt he had to keep him going down the road of giving over his shares so he was told if he had the money he could still deposit it.

“But the money wasn’t wanted in any accounts dealing with this business so he was given another one. But of course the £6m didn’t materialise and neither did £1m or even half of that.

“However, just more than £137,000 was deposited later and although way short of what he said he had, we were stunned and have tried to give it back to him. But no matter how hard we try to do that he won’t accept receipt of it.

“This money has never been touched. It has never been used and it is not required. We don’t want it, don’t need it and Mr Whyte is perfectly well aware of that.”

The SFA have refused to issue any statement on the ownership of Sevco despite requesting a full disclosure of backers before granting associate membership in July 2012.

The Huns, new or old are just the gift that keeps on giving!

If C.Green intimated that he, Imran and Whyte would have to come up with 6 million each how was he able to purchase the whole shabang for a mere 5.5 million. This is scullduggery at its best and everyone of them is worth a watching. It will be interesting to hear what the football authorities have to say or not say about it all.

Why would Crook Whyte wait until months later when the assets had been transferred to go public. Surely he should have spoken out immediately. Nothing will convince me that Whyte – Green – Murray – Ellis are not up to their necks in dirty underhand dealings

All this crap is merely a side show to divert attention from the real problems currently facing the newco. Whyte trying to show he is the hero by defeating / duping Crook Whyte to enhance his reputation with the easily deluded just in time for season ticket renewals.
A low sale would spell utter disaster for Green and bring about a rapid administration as they will not to throw more of the share issue money away.

I agree, the whole thing seems a bit staged to me,wouldn’t be a surprise if Green and Whyte were actually mates or at least still working TOGETHER,Green can’t be seen publicly being remotely civil towards Whyte, privately I think it’s a different story

Anyway sfa have already stated Whyte as unfit to run a club due to previous financial erm misdemeanours so if Whyte was involved in sevco deal? That SHOULD see the sfa impose some sort of sanctions on sevco,Whyte or Green or all three as Green didn’t disclose to the sfa that Whyte was involved in sevco

IMO they are heading for administration and this is a diversion and wait and see their current sevco status transferred with Whyte and Green one and the same privately but publicly to be seen as separate entity’s with viable escape routes in forthcoming administration event

The rape of Scottish football by the SFA, the Scottish leagues, Whyte, Murray, Green and cronies. Where is the outcry? Mr. Platini and Mr. Blatter, if your pockets were being ravished, would you be so silent? DISGRACEFUL!

Imagine having these clowns in charge at paradise, if it was any other team i would be cringeing, what a complete joke

    • HoudiniBhoy says:

The Whyte’s, Kelly’s and Grants were our Murray, Whyte and Green, we were just fortunate enough to have someone with integrity and dignity to pull us out a hole, who wanted to save our club, not use it as a springboard to rake in money.

Seems to me the shyster got shystered by a bigger shyster who in turn was outshystered by a bunch of shysters and amazingly only £3 changed hands. Watch out Bears, it’s open season!!

Im no going to get rid of my laughing problem any time soon then.

The underhand dealings with the rancid club are at best grotesque.

Rather than comment on all the ins and outs of this saga the thing (and I’m no legal expert) that I would like to concentrate on is a suggestion on today’s BBC’s news that there is a POSSIBILITY that their share issue is ILLEGAL

No wonder chuckles was so keen to get on the blower to his manservant at SKY Jim “pishy” White to relay to the zombie hoardes that all is well at mordor and he is the only guardian they can trust.

In all seriousness he did not sound convincing at all, put that together with the mushroom fat Sally ( kept in the dark and fed on shit) and agent Whytes delivery of both documented and taped evidence I think chuckles has just wiped out half his season tickets for next year. I think another big implosion is not far away only this

Time there will be a TESCO superstore in Govan.

  • NoPretender! says:

i think this latest saga is 2 fingers from the hun man to the rest of us to say “we can do whatever we want & the powers that be will do everything with their power to assist us in our crimes”. any smart money will be placed on scottish footballing authorities buying new carpets for the next round of the super sevco sweep with your host cambell ogilvie playing the role of dale winton from what ever closet he got his corrupt mug buried in.

I’m business if you don’t want to work with somebody yo say. Business is black and white. But to say aye, moan in and join us, just come up with 6million. Its not distancing yourself or making sure he has nothing to do with the club. Clearly the zombies being spoon fed more lies for their loyalty. Mugs!!

    • eastside says:

They love being conned and humiliated by guys like Green and Whyte, that’s why they keep letting it happen, its their fetish!

  • eastside says:

The fun will really begin once Police investigations based in England are launched, no Masonic handshakes or fear and favour will be able to protect the crooks then. It will become a case of every man for himself as they scramble to avoid jail terms. That’s going to be so satisfying to watch unfold.

  • Coatbridge1 says:

I hear there is going to be a new head scout starting next week, a Mr Timmothy Orange, I can imagine it now the directors box at the future 2nd division season opener, a Mr Green, Mr White and Mr Orange.
